The Chestermere Lions Club will be holding it's 3rd Pumpkin Patch right by Chestermere at the Mountain View Cemetary. There will be hot dogs, soft drinks and snack served. There will be entertainment with a puppet show, a storey corner, family pictures and pumpkin carving. A fun time for the entire family while you pick your pumpkin for just $10. This event runs from 10 am to 3 pm. On Saturday October 24th.
And you will get a lot more than a pumpkin here. You will also have the satisfaction that you are helping this worthwhile group raise funds for projects right here in Chestermere.
Safeway is a sponsor and Mountian View Cemetary is providing the space.
To get there just go towards Calgary on the 1A highway (17 Ave) until you get there. It is on the right hand side of the highway.

Chestermere Lake has always been a great place for an active family. With a sportsplex to be built in the near future, Chestermere Athletics just got that much better. The dome will be 10 storeys high and it will cover 4.9 hectars and house multiple playing fields. It will be North America's tallest air supported structure. It will house four baseball diamonds, four soccer pitches, a CFL sized football field, which can be a FIFA soccer pitch, 17 golf driving range stalls, a sports bar, restaurant launge and other amenities to be announced later.
Chestermere has always been a very active town with families coming here for the recreation opportunities. This is absolutely a great place to have this facility. We are only 5 miles from the Calgary city limit, so all of this area will benefit.
They believe that the Dome will open in the Spring.
The town of Chestermere gave Armourdome the land in exchange for a share of the profit. Good work Town council, this is the boost in the arm that this area needs!

Last year I popped by to see what was going on and I was so sad that I had not volunteered for this event. The kids were so cute and they were having so much fun. If you miss the fun of little ones so excited for Halloween this is your chance to catch the magic again.
To get in on the fun please call or email
