Activity in the Fairhope Real Estate Market picked up some during the month of March, 2009. There were 92 new listings with an average list price of $272,658. Twenty-seven single family homes closed in March with an average selling price of $258,082.

Compared to February, when most people are more focused on the annual Mardi Gras celebration than home buying, when there were19 closed properties and 82 new listings, in the single family home category, March has sown an uptick in purchases.

All in all, things are looking up in the market here, and if you've been trying to wait out the market, you should probably be thinking about buying or selling now.
