We saw the Living Bible Tour in the morning, visited The Christ of the Ozarks, which is also on the same grounds, and then went back to camp for the afternoon. We were back that evening for The Great Passion Play.

The last time that we were here we did not do the Living Bible Tour. I’m SO glad that we did this time. It was perfect to set the stage for the play that evening!

The great outdoors...aka the backyard!

If you haven't heard me say it you might be the last person on earth (or at least Active Rain) hearing it. I tell everyone that will listen. I love summer! M. and I have a sort of 'close to home' life. Her business takes up a lot time especially in the summer months. My time is spent on real estate, as in yard work for our properties in addition to working with clients. Since that makes it a challenge to get away while it's warm years ago we decided to put together this little pool scene in the side yard. We have never regretted it even for a minute.

In real estate pools bring out the full spectrum of opinions and debates about value and so on. I say a pool is a great deal. It can be difficult to get a day off and get away, but you can almost always catch a few hours here and there to enjoy the pool in your own yard. We rarely turn on the television between April and October, instead we spend time almost every evening in our yard, either on the deck overlooking acres of woods, great for stargazing, on the covered patio where it's almost always cool, or at the pool.

More and more I see folks looking for great outdoor spaces surrounding their homes. Make an investment in the great outdoors, aka the backyard!

The Belle of Amherst was spotted in Eureka Springs, AR 72632 today.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting with Emily Dickinson...sort of. At the Enthios Art Venue here in Eureka Springs ,Arkansas my friend Marv Jonason produced the The Belle of Amherst, A One Woman Play originally adapted by Williiam Luce. Emily Dickinson was deftly portrayed by Lauren Owen-Scutari.

You may know that the setting is Amherst, MA in 1883. The play transports you immediately and although you never see the rest of the Dickinsons in this one woman play, you leave knowing them very well.

The Enthios is such a cool place. The multi purpose arts facility can accomomdate almost any type of event. The theater was set up today for about 30 folks and there was not a bad seat in the house.

My favorite time of day is morning. Give me the promise of a new day, a fresh start and another chance to get it right. I promise I'll grow with the challenge of it. I promise I'll find the grace and the good it has to offer, and share it, too.

This is the morning view into the woods from my back yard in Eureka Springs, AR. Yes, that's the sun coming up over the Ozarks. That's also the edge of 38 acres of woods that make our back yard into a veritable game preserve. That little valley is called a hollow or a'holler' as the locals might say. That hollow is not just full of indigenous flora and fauna. It's also full of cool stuff like a waterfall and limestone bluffs and I bet you could find and American Indian artifact or two.

This is Eureka Springs, AR where about 30 years ago my dreams began to come true. I hope that you too have found your place in the world.
