Major appliance manufacturers have cut warranties from 2-3 years down to only 1 year

Encino, CA – Appliance repair technicians in Encino, CA have noticed consumers’ concerns about shrinking appliance warranties. In November of 2005 shorter warranties went into effect for many large appliance manufacturers including Whirlpool, Roper, Estate and Inglis brands. Other manufacturers followed suit in January, 2006, including General Electric, Hotpoint, Americana, Maytag, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Frigidaire, White Westinghouse, Tappan, Gibson and Kelvinator.

Higher end brands like KitchenAid, Jen-Air and Elctrolux still offer longer warranties on some appliances and parts. Viking offers a one-year warranty, but doubles I if a Viking-certified installer does the work according to Consumer Reports.

Major appliance manufacturers are reviewing the data from their pricier competitors and they believe that shorter warranties may stimulate business for their GE appliance repair and Whirlpool appliance repair. It might even put the Maytag appliance repair man back to work.

Typical appliance warranties cover parts and service for one year from the date of purchase. After that, the consumer must pay. Before the warranties were reduced, expensive parts like refrigerator compressors and dishwasher tubs were covered for 5 to 10 years. Now consumers will have to by an extended warranty package to get longer coverage. The cost is about $100 – 200 for three years.

The park is bordered by upper Mandeville Canyon, Sullivan Canyon, Mission Canyon, and San Vicente Mountain Park and is accessible from both West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Dogs are permitted off leash in the park if they remain under the owner's immediate control.

How truly amazing to be able to enjoy a morning hike in the midst of virgin forest and then spend the evening enjoying the night life of one of the world's largest cities. This is what living in Los Angeles affords to all of its residents.
