Thursday, March 15, 2012 — Breck Comedy Extravaganza “It’s all downhill from here…” is being held at the Riverwalk Center. The night’s comedy stars four national and international comedians: Chris Fairbanks, Godfrey, Dan Levy and Eddie Ifft. Tickets are available in advance online for $20 or $25 at the door. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm.

Thursday, March 22, 2012 — Weekly Breck Comedy Night at the Park Avenue Pub at the Village at Breckenridge at 8:30pm. Opener, Nora Lynch and Headliner Phil Palisoul are sure to make your sides ache. There is a $5 cover charge.

Thursday, March 29, 2012 — Weekly Breck Comedy Night is being held at Base 9 Bar in Beaver Run at 7pm. This weeks headliner is Vic Alejandro who is a regular at Comedy Works and has worked with many National headliners. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Thursday, April 5, 2012 — The 2nd to last Weekly Breck Comedy Night features Headliner Adam Cayton Holland. The location and cost has yet to be announced but will be updated as soon as the information is released.

Breckenridge’s Annual Bacchus Ball will be held at Beaver Run Resort from 6-10pm. There will be live music by the very talented Hazel Miller as well as dancing, New Orleans style cuisine (crawfish and the like), drinks and the crowning of the Queen and Rex. Dress in your finest Mardi Gras attire and don’t worry if you forgot your mask or need to add to your bead collection as there will be a selection of such items available for purchase at the Bacchus Ball.

Join the fun on Main Street for the annualBreckenridge Mardi Gras Parade at 4:30pm. Be sure to come early to get a good spot to view the parade which includes the Queen and Rex who were crowned at the Bacchus Ball. If you do come early, keep an eye out for a few of the Breckenridge Resort Chamber Ambassadors who will be walking around Main Street selling Mardi Gras beads – As Krystal is a BRC Ambassador, we will be participating in the festivities and will be selling beads again this year. All proceeds from the bead sales go to the Al Chaffee Memorial Ambassadors Scholarship Fund which provides college scholarships to graduating seniors from Summit High School.

Breckenridge Real Estate - Condo Market Update

If you are considering purchasing a ski condo in Breckenridge Real Estate or just curious about how the condo market in Breckenridge is holding up, 2011 sales numbers are now out and are shedding some light on the fact that it is still a great market for buyers. The average sold price for condos is down from last year, mostly because of the completion and Closing of the majority of One Ski Hill Place sales occured in the summer of 2010. The average price for a condo in Breckenridge decreased to $429,180 in 2011 from $574,009 in 2010 and sold price per square foot dropped to $414/sf in 2011 from $575/sf in 2010. Compared to 2009, the average condo sales price and average sold price per square foot is still down, pointing to motivated sellers and the continuing decline of prices for Breckenridge condos.

Although prices for Breckenridge condos are still down compared to recent years going back to 2006, the number of sales are trending upward. More transactions for condos are taking place which points to an increasing number of buyers taking advantage of low prices and low interest rates to get a great deal on their ideal condo in Breckenridge, CO. 2011 totalled 215 condo sales compared to only 191 in 2010 and a mere 117 in 2009.
