The one below is new construction and still needs to have plants added - I don't understand why all trees are generally removed before building - a home without trees just is not a home in my humble opinion!

Dunedin, Florida, is indeed a great place to live! The location directly on the Gulf of Mexico means that you have access to Honeymoon Island State Park as well as several golf courses! The quaint downtown area has adorable brick streets, eclectic shops and restaurants and too many antique shops to count!!!

What many people have trouble getting used to is how diverse the neighborhoods are! The homes that you see here are all on the same street -

This adorable home above has bamboo behind it and a beautiful Live Oak tree in front! The dragonfly on the front of the building really got my attention (I have this thing for dragonflies!!!).

These photos were all taken during the month of January 2010, so you see that even though we had a record cold snap, most plants are still green down here in Pinellas County!!!

Not only are there wonderful single family homes, Dunedin has great condo associations and MANY 55+ communities! But don't let that fool you, the Dunedin Highlander High School and new Dunedin Middle School are proof that there are plenty of young people here too!!!

Here is another fantastic home in beautiful Dunedin, Florida that I had to share. I have driven past this home so many times and each time I am fascinated by this building, the gate, gardens - it is really an unusual home!

At first glance, it is obvious that this family loves living down here in tropical Florida - everything from the waterbird to the alligator reflect this marvelous environment that we live in!!!

The dolphins at play are just one more of the many unusual works of art found on this property!

This is the only piece of art that I did not think reflected our Florida environment, but it is nontheless a beautiful piece!

Of course, I had to get one last close-up of the dolphins at play, since that was my favorite!!!

Dunedin is indeed a beautiful little town on the Gulf of Mexico. I drove through there again yesterday with a client and they loved the area - but then, what is NOT to love???

From the numerous little parks all over town and along the waterfront to the eclectic homes and shops, it is a place that you are sure to fall in love with and want to return to again and again!

Beautiful Dunedin is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico and has it's own marina full of sailboats.

There are wonderful condos along the waterfront that look out onto the marina and the waters beyond.

Dunedin is also home to numerous small parks that are along the Gulf of Mexico, where you can sit and enjoy the setting sun in the afternoon.

Add to that a great local brewery that brews its own unique beers - DUNEDIN BREWERY- and you have a really great place to live!
