I wanted to share some of these photos of Dunedin that I took this past weekend! Lately I have been working so much that I have not gotten out to just enjoy a day between the park and the local shops. This past weekend was an exception. I went to Dunedin and had a wonderful time!

The side of this building pretty much says it all! Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, Dunedin is a quaint town just minutes from Clearwater and fantastic Clearwater Beach!

The downtown area has brick everywhere and those classic older homes that many have turned into shops and restaurants!

There are plenty of park benches waiting for you to sit and enjoy the beauty that is Dunedin!

Dunedin is beautiful !!!!! The downtown area of Dunedin is lined with an eclectic combination of shops and restaurants. As you enter the downtown area you are greeted with signage welcoming you.

Flowers and beautiful shrubs abound, as do park benches and the sounds of birds singing happily in the breeze!

Dunedin is one of my favorite spots to spend an afternoon. The cool winds blow in from the Gulf of Mexico which makes wondering the brick streets such a delight!

Dunedin Fine Arts Center offers classes which are wonderful and inexpensive! Whether you are looking for classes for adults or classes for children, the Dunedin Fine Arts Center is the place to go if you live in northern Pinellas County! They even have special workshops and summer camps for the kids!!!!

Check out their web site at www.dfac.org to get specific information on what is available and how to sign up for their classes. You will be glad you did! I have taken many pottery classes there throughout the years and love having access to a potter's wheel now that I no longer own my own!!!!

Earth Day 2008 will be celebrated on Honeymoon Island with guided walks, an art show, kids activities, music and eco-friendly vendors!!! Honeymoon Island State Park is always a wonderful place to enjoy Florida's nature and the beauty of the beaches and to celebrate Earth Day the park service is offering so much for the entire family!!!

Festivities are taking place this weekend from 10-6:30 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday. If you have not been to Honeymoon Island yet, this is the perfect time to go!!! Support this wonderful Earth Day event!!!
