It is hard to believe October is quickly coming to close and we will begin the holiday season shortly. Last weekend marked the end of another sucessful Fantasy Fest in Key West and several local organizations held costume parties to raise funds for scholarship, and aid programs. Below is a picture of our group before we left to attend the "Monster Ball".
As parents prepare for tonight's big trick or treat event in thier area remember to check younger children's costumes for trip, vision and visibility hazards. Shorten skirts/pants so they do not drag on the ground, use face paint or make sure masks have openings large enough so vision and breathing is not impaired, and for darker costumes add reflective tape or glow sticks. Older children should be given times to check in regularly as well as a curfew and parents should know where and with whom the kids will be with.
Hope everyone has a safe and happily scary halloween .......

One of the main reasons I decided to move to the Florid Keys was the availablity of fine Christian education. My twin daughters started at Island Christian school for 9th grade and graduated this year. They received outstanding instruction but more importantly they were given spiritual encouragement and grew tremendously.
We also attend services on Sunday at 10AM and have beenvery involved with Lisa Porter and the FUEL youth group.
I highly encourage anyone visitng the Keys to try this very friendly Christ centered church.

Hello fellow fisherman and Real Estate Investor's! This is an update on the Real Estate tides for the Islands of Plantation Key , Windley Key , Upper Matecumbe, and Lower Matecumbe.
With the summer season is ready to kick off the second half of 2008, we know that fishing will be very good this summer as always. While fisherman hunt for that elusive 50 lb dolphin,or the first 350 lb Blue Marlin, investors are hunting for that big catch on land. The best fisherman use the right bait, local knowledge of the waters and sea conditions to give them the best chance at producing the big catch. Investor's must also apply some of those same tactics to give themselves the opportunity to catch the right Real Estate Deal!
The fisherman faces higher cost to catch the big one,and so it goes with the Investor.The Year over Year Stats for Islamorada, show some movement upward over last year.
Upper Matecumbe sold volume; is up 32% , average sale price is up 10%, new listings are down 32%;
