On Saturday, October 25th 2008, the third Annual Life is Good® Pumpkin Festival will be held at FishHawk Ranch in Lithia, Florida.

The events begin at 4pm and wrap up at 10pm with pumpkin carving, family-friendly games, music and great food.

All of the proceeds from the Pumpkin Festival will go to the Life is good Kids Foundation which will then be shared evenly between two extraordinary charities - HomeAid and Project Joy.

In addition to the traditional pumpkin event, this year FishHawk Ranch is excited to host the World's Greatest Backyard Athlete Competition. Come show what you've got by competing in non-traditional events, such as disk toss, pumpkin seed spitting and an obstacle course. The competition is decidedly low-key and friendly. No exceptional skills are needed for this competition. Nominate and sponsor someone from your block or your office to come out and represent what promises to be Tampa Bay's most exciting and unique competition.

FishHawk Ranch is having a fund raiser for the Life is good Kids Foundation, which is helping kids in need. This "fun raiser" is being held on Octover 25th. It will be fun for everyone with great food, live music, and lots of fun and games.

Each person helping to raise funds for the foundation gets to do lots of fun activities like pumpkin seed spitting and a washer toss. All the events are in fun and low key. Come join FishHask Ranch's World's Greatest Backyard Athlete competition.

Everyone will enjoy the Life is good Pumpkin Festival, so come have lots of fun! The event will start at 4:00 PM and last until 10:00 PM at FishHawk Ranch's Town Square. Come and help out raising money for children in need! See you there.

Coming soon to FishHawk Ranch is the Sterling Section by David Weekly Homes. The section will have single family homes ranging from 1,697 square feet to over 2,900 square feet. David Weekly is building their Park series homes. These homes are traditional Florida Homes plus beautiful front porches. The homes will have three to six bedrooms with at least two baths and a two car garage. The Sterling Section will have all the amenities of FishHawk Ranch plus tennis courts, clubhouse, pool and walking trails. The prices for the homes start in the low $200,000's.

Lithia is a rapidly growing small community south of the Brandon-Valrico area. Getting to Lithia is easily accomplished going south on Lithia-Pinecrest Road from Brandon or from Highway 301 go east on Boyette which turns into FishHawk Road. This allows for easy access to Tampa, MacDill Air Force Base, Lakeland, Orlando, area attractions and beaches. This small rural area has undergone a lot of change in the last few years with the development of the master-planned communities of Fish Hawk Trails and FishHawk Ranch, town homes, villas and single family homes with manicured landscapes, parks and recreation facilities.
