Augusta Georgia’s Housing Market is Strong

Marie Westerman REALTOR® Evans Ga, Ft Gordon, Augusta Ga, Waynesboro Ga, : Real Estate Agent in Augusta, GA

Our Augusta Georgia market is second in the nation in home value appreciation - not the "I like your house" brand of appreciation, but the increase in value version.

In the past year, the value of area homes increased (in total) 5.5 percent.

This information comes straight from the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which has a house price index based on the actual sale of homes. Most of the news from the agency is the national "Holy Toledo, things are bad" variety, such as the largest decline in home values in the 17-year history of the index.

When you buy your house in Augusta Georgia area, to include Ft Gordon Georgia, Evans Georgia, Waynesboro Georgia, Martinez, Georgia, Grovetown Georgia and Millen Georgia. You can have some peace of mind that the trend tells you that it is going to be worth more in the coming years than what you paid for it, giving you the chance to make some money off its sale.

Who wants to owe more than the house is worth after living in it for a short time? From the bankers' point of view, that is important.

We have had three months of declines in the month-end inventory of homes for sale, according to our local Greater Augusta Realtor's association.

So there are people buying homes here in the Augusta Georgia and CSRA area.

Thinking of selling your home Call Marie Westerman at 706-558-0042 for a free Analysis of the current Market Value of your home in today's Market.
