About a week ago, I went up in a small plane and to my delight Northeast Georgia and Helen specifically are more beautiful from the air than I could ever imagine. I was not aware how much our "foothills" connects to the mountain ranges. Helen is truly beautiful from the air. It gave me a new appreciation for our area and I did realize how fortunate I am to be a part of this area. It brought back memories of my first visit here and how everything just looked so wonderful. I remember thinking how great it would be to live here year round! Well I did come here to live year round. And I came here to work year round in real estate. there are still parts of the area I have not explored. Work takes over your life sometimes and you forget to appreciate all you have. So I am here today to tell you, this is an exceptional place to work and live. Come on over. If you are ready to move, do consider Helen and the surrounding areas. You won't regret your choice!

If you are waiting for a good weekend to visit Helen, this is it! No rain predicted until late Sunday, according to the weather wizards. Beautiful days and nights cool enough for a fire outside and drinks with friends. The moon shining over the Chattahoochee River is beautiful. The skies are bright and clear with stars clearly visible, so nice to see darkness in the distance instead of city lights!! Pack up the car, the dog and the family, come on up, the weather is fine! See you soon? Your Helen Ga connection is Flynn!

A beautiful day in the northeast Georgia Mountains! I started off listening to GMA as I worked around, but the high and low point of my day will probably be grounded in that program.
Thumbs UP! This had to be GMA's interview with Susan Boyle from her Scotland home. Of course they replayed her triumphant "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables which she sang on Brits Got Talent. Wonderful is an understatement. Then I read all the "comments" about her performance...many saying she could not sustain the quality of song...(I think she will do quite well, thank you, unless she decides to "rap") Such sour grapes and negativity from the public..why? You have to wonder don't you. Can't the public just say something positive? The answer is "NO". It almost seems as though some people resent beauty and goodness doesn't it?
Thumbs DOWN! It seems New Mexico schools have taken to giving the unfortunate child whose lunch money is in arrears a cold cheese sandwich, an orange and a drink in a bag...doesn't sound too bad? Well, the child is pulled OUT of the HOT Lunch line and given a bag instead. How humilating this is for the child. And New Mexico is not the only state doing this due to the economy. Many other states are following suit. I just happened to see the one involving a child and New Mexico today. There has to be a better way. WHAT? WE CAN BAIL OUT AIG, but we can't feed a 7 year old school child a hot lunch? What is wrong with this picture?
So Far, Georgia was not on the list of states dealing with their future leaders in this manner..so far. I hope our legislature will stand tall and not allow this to happen.
On a lighter note, come and live in the northeast Georgia Mountains. Helen, Cleveland, Sautee, and Batesville all will be a delightful change. For your real estate needs visit me, http://www.FlynnTaylor.com

Watching the snowflakes fall gently on the dogwood blossoms in northeast Georgia reminds me of all the things I love about Helen. The chance of snow in April. Knowing it will only be a few days and then it will be gone and the nicer spring like weather will return. Never snowed in for days. Just a few days of the delightful white stuff and then back to normal! No snow tires. Plenty of days in the 60s and 70s, nights in the 40s and 50s, just cool enough to light that fireplace, or gather around the fire pit and have drinks with the neighbors. Yes, northeast Georgia and Helen are places you really want to consider for your home and lifestyle. Is it for you? It is for me!
