The latest news from RAM is a new look for our public portal, making it easier to find Maui homes, or a Maui REALTOR®, and other useful info.

Pictured here is the installation of the photo-voltaic system which is now saving the members a pile of money on the utility costs.

This little Blog is actually for me ,,,,, and might be for you . But let me share this to all of my stressed out Loan Officer's and Realtor Friends! Since the marked is down , I am working more time in the Mortgage industry than ever . I have noted I put on several pounds and ask my self ,,, how can I get my life in order . Here is nice solution

Like meditation , yoga is an extremely popular and effective method for becoming a more relaxed, easygoing and stress-free person . For centuries , yoga has been used to clear and fee the mind , giving people feelings of ease. It is easy and takes little time out of your busy day . Once I took a class at Bikram Yoga in Kahului that includet both a 9 year old girl and a 65 year old man. Yoga is noncompetitive in nature. You work and progress at speed of your own comfort level.

Although yoga is a physical in nature , its benefits of sweat , heat are both physical and emotional . On the physical side , yoga strengthens the muscles and the spine , creating flexibility and ease of motion . On the emotional side , yoga is tremedous stress reducer. It balances the body -mind-spirit connection .

Especially after work ,,,,, it seem to me when I go to yoga ,,, all the stress and numbers are disapearing and I have the mood of pure rest . I tried in the past to do it on my own but yoga was the best for me .

Georg Thoma joined Central Pacific HomeLoans in October 2008 as a HomeLoan Consultant. He has been in the mortgage industry since 2004, most recently for International Mortgage LLC in Paia, Maui. Georg is a HomeLoan Consultant who truly cares about his clients. He sees working with first time homebuyers as a great opportunity to help get people started right. Born in Bamberg, Germany, Georg has been a Maui resident since 1994. He is Director of Communications for the Masters Businessmen Association of Maui and a member of the Kihei and Kahului Kiwanis Clubs. Georg is also a member of the Hawaii Association of Mortgage Brokers (HAMB) and an active participant in the Realtor Association of Maui (RAM). As a world class destination resort, Maui offers some fantastic dining options. The quality of our restaurants is bolstered by the island's access to fresh produce and seafood. We also benefit by the diversity of cultures on the island that bring a variety of food preparations from throughout the Pacific and other parts of the globe. Maui restaurants and resorts do not have to go far to find the culinary talent that prepares our island's food. The Maui Culinary Academyat Maui Community College prepares students in one of the three specialties of culinary arts, baking and restaurant supervision. Students at the Culinary Academy have the opportunity to showcase their skills at The Class Act Restaurant and Exhibition Kitchen.

The Class Act is a real jewel of Maui. It offers a four course gourmet lunch at the very reasonable price of $28 plus gratuity. I have had the opportunity to eat there on two separate occasions and all courses of the meal were quite good. The preparation was excellent and the fresh Maui produce used in a number of the courses was quite tasty. Diners have an opportunity to watch the young chefs prepare the meals and the menu uses local produce extensively. Restaurant patrons can select from a few different daily entree options from a rotating menu. The Class Act is located in the Pa'ina building on the Maui Community College campus in Kahului. The hours are from 11:00-12:30 on selected weekdays. While the restaurant is a hidden gem, it has a loyal following. Interested parties should make reservations.
