Neal Patel , an old time friend , has ask me 10 Years ago , what I think of him opening a Restaurant ? At that time , I was an Executive Chef at Royal Lahaina Hotel . Skeptically I have told him ,"Opening a Restaurant is a hard work and lots of risk . But what he had never told me , that he loves to open a Little Indian Restaurant. Indian Food is not at all on this little island on Maui . I remember cooking lots of Chicken Curry for Arab Clients at the Grand Wailea or Hilton in Munich was a delight full taste of many spices and ingredients.

Last week , I was visiting Neal at his first Restaurant , after our discussion 10 years ago and , I could not believe how well prepared all his food has been.

In his Flyer he mentioned : Maui Masala is s vision of two Indian families who have lived on Maui for more than a decade . They were attracted to Maui's lush tropical climate. it remided them of India , they loved the wonderful community and fmiliare fragrnace of plumeria and jasmine. However , one thing was missing from this island paradise " the Masala" , the savory and delectable tastes of Indian cuisine , Why not bring the flavors they love to the place they love for both locals and visitors to enjoy ?

And so , " Maui Masala " was born

Paddle with a Pooch - Stand Up Paddle Event on Maui

If you're on Maui this weekend, why not pack up the dog and the stand-up paddle-board and head over to Sugar Beach for a fun event!

One of Maui's desirable neighborhoods in Kihei is Piilani Villages (Phases II and III). Located west of the Piilani Highway in central Kihei, this neighborhood is great for families, young couples, and retirees alike. Families enjoy the fenced yards for their children and pets to run and play, and the peace and quiet is enjoyed by all.

Sidewalks line the streets to make it walking-friendly. You'll see people out walking their dogs, jogging, pushing strollers, and children riding their bikes.

Fishing at Kahoolawe - Waters around Kahoolawe will be open to permitted
vessels for trolling Oct. 10 and 11 and Oct. 24 and 25. All vessels must
register annually with the Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission and pay a $25
fee in order to enter the reserve for trolling on designated dates, and they
must also file a catch report whether or not they get anything. To register
or obtain more information about fishing in these restricted waters, contact
