It started with a random call from an internet marketing site that we use to promote listings. It ended with an amazing story that reminds us why we do what we do. It is because we truly can change people's lives!
Our clients Scott and Jackie Howell have never really owned their own home... let's say for the sake of discussion at the age of 55 +. Jackie a hard working woman who has for many years endured the stress of a graveyard job. Her husband Scott a proud 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran valantly stands by her side as he did for our country.
It was apparent from the first time we met that homeownership was merely a dream for the Howell's. We instantly wanted to make the dream a reality, which we quickly learned would not be easy. The Howells were convinced that it was not possible with their limited fixed income, little to no downpayment and they understood homeownership to be a difficult and complex process. We were determined to get them in a home and show them that it was possible and that the American Dream of Homeownership was achievable and was one of life's most rewarding moments.
Today, the day before Thanksgiving we received the following email from Scott Howell:
"I hope this finds you and your hubby and your kids all healthy and happy. We're fine at this end of the rainbow. Wanted to use this time and take the opportunity to once again thank you for all of your help in finding our house for us: it is turning out to be a wonderful home. Sorry we never connected with you on moving day: it didn't go anything as planned-moving day became moving days which led to moving daze... We also ended up hiring a young guy with strong arms and a strong back to help with the bulk of the long haul. We actually didn't get completely out of the old place and into the new place until just midweek last week. We're finally, settling in... And at a marvelous time-tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. We have alot to be thankful for: we're thankful for you and Jaret, and for Nicole and Heather, and for the VA, and especially for God. I'm personally better off now than I have ever been in my entire life-I still can hardly believe it... Thank you again, for all of your help. I hope and I pray you and your family will have a delightful Thanksgiving... Take good care. God bless... "
