For usually 4-5 days, Heritage Park and the surrounding area is bustling with activity! From morning 'til evening, each day includes a broad schedule of activities the whole family can enjoy. At night, the outdoor stage on 6th Street comes alive with concerts featuring usually one major national recording artist and several regional and national performers playing tribute to the music of nationally-known bands such as The Eagles, AC/DC, Guns 'N Roses, etc. Sundown Salute is an exciting time in Junction City, KS! And don't forget the Independence Day Parade! People gather along both sides of 6th Street for several blocks as the parade proceeds for about an hour!
