Hello again, I would like to invite you to Berea Kentucky for the 12^th Annual Spoonbrean Festival Sept 19 - 21. This three day event is packed with exhibitors, entertainment and actives. Visit the web site spoonbreadfestival.com for a complete list of activities.

For those of you who don't know what spoonbread is, well here we go. It is a southern dish and considered the most delicious of all corn meal breads. I was first introduced the dish at the Boon Tavern Hotel here in Berea where spoonbreads been served for many years. The recipe's been traced to the early 1800s and many variations use baking soda and or sugar while others use neither. Any way it goes spoonbread is delicious and this year I will be serving spoonbread we make our self.
