Though last weeks news of the State of Massachusetts no longer providing $50million in infrastructure loan funding is disappointing, it is hoped that the state will find other opportunities to support this project with public funds as appropriate. The economic boost that a world class movie studio and production facility will have on the local, regional, and state economy is too much to overlook. Isn't it time for Massachusetts to make a wise decision that benefits all of its residents?

Opening Ceremonies were held Wednesday June 3rd at 4pm.

The wall is open to the public through Monday June 8th at 12noon.

• 7pm : Flag Retirement Ceremony
• 8pm : Candle Light Vigil

Two Walls now travel the country from March to November in honor of the Fallen.

Earlier this month, Plymouth Rock Studios received unanimous approval from the Plymouth Planning Board members for the Hollywood East master plan. However, there is a stipulation that the town and Plymouth Rock Studios work out the final details of their agreement over the next 40 days. The studio is hoping that the state will issue preliminary approval for special financing for road improvements from the state's Infrastructure Investment Incentive (I-Cube) Program. They have applied for $50 million, which is the maximum allowed under this program.

The I-Cube program is a combination of funding from the state, local (town of Plymouth), and the developer. If Plymouth Rock Studios does not qualify for the I-Cube program, the project is in jeopardy. Many would like to know if the studio has a plan B in place in the event this does not go in their favor.

Unfortunately, the state did not issue any preliminary ruling in time for Monday's town meeting. The board of selectmen and the new town manager are discussing whether they will call a special town meeting on June 29, 2009, as no vote can be taken at this time.

Hello folks,

I haven't blogged about Plymouoth real estate or Plymouth home sales in awhile so, thought I'd share the most recent Plymouth home sales data with you.

398- the number of single family homes currently for sale in Plymouth, Ma
207- the average number of days on market for these homes

$350-$399k- the most competitive price point in the market with 56 homes currently for sale in this price range
178- avg. time on market for this price range.

So, what does this mean to me, Todd? Well, Mr. Homeseller, what these means is that say you have a home to sell in the $250-$299k range, you would have 55 competitors with homes for sale in that price range. What would you do to make your home more compelling to the buyer that your competitor? more curb appeal? a more aggressive pricing strategy? really want to move? make your home hard to walk away from on the first showing.
Make sure that you understand that today's homebuyer normally comes accompanied by his/her buyer's agent and they come armed with a stack of all the local listings in your price range. They will probably know more about the current market and inventory than you will. If you have listed your home and the phone isn't ringing the FIRST week, this is a sure sign that YOU HAVE OVERPRICED.
