Brunswick, Maryland - Make it your hometown - I did

Cynthia Mader: Real Estate Agent in Brunswick, MD

I am not only a Real Estate Professional in the Brunswick area, I am also a resident. Many tend think of Brunswick as a that town far out there on many hills and cliffs. I am hear to tell you they are wrong! Yes, indeed some homes have very little property and may be on the side of a hill, but there are MANY places that do not. Take a look around my website and you will get a better feel of the area and realize it can be your hometown as well. If you have any further concerns or questions after reading this, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Brunswick, Maryland is just a short drive approximately, 45 miles from Washington D.C., the Nation's Capital. The town's roots are rich in history with the establishment of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. In the 1890's Brunswick became the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad's major freight yard for the east-west line. Population of the town multiplied tenfold in 1896 and thrived because of the railroad.

When visiting Brunswick, you can stop by the
Brunswick Railroad museum to learn more about the B & O line and the way of life of the railroaders.

In 2005, Brunswick earned Maryland Mainstreet status. Brunswick Mainstreet sponsors many events and activities in the historic district, including First Fridays. Shops downtown stay open for late evening shopping and many family activities are planned on the first Friday of every month. Visit the Brunswick Mainstreet website to learn more.

Brunswick offers other fun activities including camping, biking on the C & O Canal, or just participating in some of our local events. Every year the annual Great Brunswick River Race offers adventure to those who want to create their own boat and race down the Potomac River.

In October the town hosts Railroad Days which takes place with music, festivities and train rides.

Check out our events calendar for other fun activities, we hope to see you soon in Brunswick.
