DARNESTOWN RE0 - MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND

November home buyers are closely watching the inventory of lender owned foreclosures for bargain prices. Due to the surge in foreclosures, the lenders have a surplus inventory of owned properties and are highly motivated to sell them as quickly as possible. The prices are reduced until the homes are under contract.

Contact us for client reports on lender owned homes in Montgomery County and Frederick County, MD. We represent buyers as their exclusive agents. Buyers do need to have a pre-qualification letter in hand when they submit a contract. Ask us for a referral if you do not have a relationship with a mortgage lender. roykelley@mris.com

This is an example of one of the many fine homes that are currently available for purchase.

What The 700 Billion Dollar Bailout Means To You

Anthony Dashtizadeh: Real Estate Agent in Potomac, MD

As many people already may know; The Government has agreed to bailout all troubled assets, within corporations on Wall St, mainly. This certainly affects us, both good and bad.

This most important thing to realize is, it was inevitable. This had to happen or our situations would be worst than that of the depression era.

Mortgage rates have gone down and will continue to drop a little more even, to stay somewhere just under 6%, for the time being. This will help 'kickstart' the housing sector somewhat.

Regrettably, we are all left holding the bag, as taxpayers. With, what some say to be, upwards of 1 Trillion dollars in deficit in 1 year; taxes will have to be raised. None of us are immune. Both the little guy and the big will be paying for this. Lets just hope it is worth it. Hey....We had to do it no matter what.

Fannie And Freddie, Changed?

Anthony Dashtizadeh: Real Estate Agent in Potomac, MD

Today Freddie Mac and Fannie May were taken over by the government. This is a milestone, in the current housing situation and hints at many more changes to come.

Namely, does this signify the bottom of the housing market? Many think so.

Mortgages rates dropped almost a 1/2 percent today for home buyers.

I think the most interesting questions in our area markets is; the upper echelons of the housing markets in the D.C. metro areas are doing quite fine. How will this affect our market?

The government taking over these two firms will positively effect our market in a great way. There will be more money to lend and it will be easier to obtain a loan, for qualified buyers.

If you are in the market to buy a home, or if you are considering to buy a home; seriously think about purchasing by the end of the year before you miss the boat.

I have a great 10 step information guide on how to buy a home and what expect. Just go to www.luxurySalesGroup.com or email me at Realtorpro@aol.com to request your FREE guide. There are also many other guides to choose from on the website.

Support Your Local Darnestown Lemonade Stand

Audrey June-Forshey, GRI, Gaithersburg, MD: Real Estate Agent in Gaithersburg, MD

One of my favorite memories from my childhood was setting up the card table at the end of the driveway and sellin' lemonade. I would be in charge of the sign. One paper cup of our best stuff would run ya a nickel. My mom would make the lemonade, or Kool-Aid if we had a special request and we would go out front and wait for the mad run on our lemonade stand. Strangers would stop by and get a cup or so and we had our regulars that would have a cup or so and visit with us.

When we were all out, we were in charge of bringing in the pitcher and cups to Mom for clean up and Mom would get the card table for us. When the clean up was done, we would divy up the loot and run to the store and buy gum, candy, comics or the like. It was our money and we could do with it what we wanted.

As an adult I have always supported the local lemonade stand trade in my area. I have been out showing houses a few times to drive past kids selling lemonade. I ALWAYS pull over and treat my clients to a cup of the good stuff. It does two things, Gives us a little break and refreshment and thrills the kids. I think that those are the kinds of things that help build kid's self esteem to know they can succeed.

Today, after I came home, I did my usual routine of getting Hutch, my dog, and going for our afternoon walk. We walked our normal trek and came back to find the kids that live across the street had set up shop while Hutch and I were out. The had the card table, sign, cups the entire deal. Jordan and Zander out there working their lemonade stand.

Now, I tell you, inflation is a tough thing but I think Jordan and Zander's prices were fair. They charged .25 cents for one cup or two cups for .40 cents. Please note the sign, the bowl is for the money. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Jordan told my that one cup was one quarter and two cups were four quarters? Jordan also instructed me to make sure Hutch did not poop anywhere near the stand, it wouldn't be good for business. I told her I understood and we would refrain from such things.

They were cute and so excited to sell their lemonade. They told me they would only be there as long they still had cups for customers and that they were not going to drink any of the lemonade, they had to save it for the customers.

Next time you are in Darnestown Maryland, be sure to stop off at Jordan and Zander's Lemonade Stand. They are sure to please.

Hhmmm. . . . I think we might have a little agent in the making?
