The Solomons Business Association has put together the 24th annual Solomons Christmas Walk. On December 5th there will be a tree lighting ceremony at the Solomons Riverwalk Pavillion at 6:00 pm. A live Nativity scene will be at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on Friday between 6:30- 8:30 pm. Saturday is the boat parade. Patuxent River Appreciation Days (PRAD) will be at the Solomons Marine Museum. The festival runs from 10am-5pm. Admission to the event is free. The festival includes science and history exhibits, children's activities, a craft fair and food court, musical performances and free harbor cruises. PRAD was developed to continue the interest in and support of the environmental programs and tourism activities surrounding the Patuxent River and its tributaries.
