Good Morning Midland, Michigan ! The housing market has begun for the New Year. Some interesting stats I came across the other day follow.

The 90 day + deliquency rates for the following counties:

Midland 2.89%

Saginaw 3.81%

Isabella 2.11%

Bay 2.98%

Gladwin 3.76

Its a great time to buy a new home $8000 first time home owner tax credit plus $6500 for current (5yr.) home owners. Houses need to have an offer on them by April 30, 2010 and close by June 30, 2010.

With the New Year coming on I want to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year! It certainly has been a challenging one! It seems that the housing market has bottomed out and hopefully a New Year will star people selling and buying new homes with the tax credit extended to April 30, 2009 to have a contract written and close by June 30. It also includes people who have owned a home for at least 5 years who will purchase a new home get up to $6500.00 credit. Its a great time to buy or sell! Have a Happy and Safe New Years!
