In paying tribute to the winter storm coming my way, I thought I would share with you the GOOD things about a Minnesota winter.

Top 10 Good things about a Minnesota Winter...
1) No Mosquito's
2) You are so worried about your car not starting that youdon't have time to worry about anything else.
3) All the sissies leave for Florida.
4)If you carelessly leave meat in your car, it will freeze and stay fresh.
5) It is not as bad as a Manitoba Winter.
6) There is the thrill of downhill skiing or sliding down the hill in your car on an icy road out of control.
7) Bundled up as they are, kids can fall down 3 flights of stairs and not get hurt.
8)There is ice fishing when there is a wind chill at -50 degrees. Knowing that someone somewhere is flabbergasted at that thought.
9) Anything is better than a humid Minnesota summer!

10) Knowing that everyone in the world is looking at us wondering why we would stay here.

There you go. Now, my brother just called and told me we may get more rain than snow...GO FIGURE!

For some of the lost receipts that you can't find, try this.

Call the vendor and ask for a copy.

The phone companies will give you the info right over the phone.

So will Cell phone providers.

Medical and pharmacies will give you a printout for the year.

Credit card interest will be on your last statement.

Banks will give you the amount of your mortgage interest if you just ask.

Many receipts can be reproduced if you ask the vendor.

You could always just guess, but you could be wrong and guess low. A few quick phone calls can get you on the right track with most all of your deduction.

I hear this a lot. The world is to fast a pace. Then the people buy in some fancy resort town where there is something going on almost all day everyday.

Many people wait until the last minute to have their taxes done. For some it is because they don't want to pay in until the 15th.

Well, just because your have your taxes filled out before the 15th of April does not mean that you have to file them and send in the check.

I had a friend E-Mail me this the other day. I thought maybe others could use a bit of a pick me up.

An elderly man in a home care facility walked up to the pretty nurse attendant...

"Bet you can't tell me how old I am." he told her.

"I bet I can." she chided back.

"OK, then how old am I.'

She told the elderly man to drop his pants and she proceeded to fondle his jewels...

"You are 83." she told the man.

"Wow, your are right." he said. "You could tell that by fondling me?"

"No." said the nurse. "I knew because you told me Yesterday!"
