One day from Spring, I was watching CNN and that is a mistake, love the channel hate the slant of the news, although the other day I did sense a little glimmer of hope in a few of their broadcasts- must of been a full moon.
I am hoping that this economic meltdown, manages to stay away from our little so far protected bubble of New Brunswick. The market here seems semi busy and everyone in my office seems truly busy, I want to look forward to a good year, so I am thinking no more CNN! I will miss Anderson and Wolf though haha.
My office building is for sale because we are expanding the staff and we need space, and I kind of would like a change too. The location is awesome and so is the building, but change is good. Hoping to get an offer soon.
Well thats it from me so far today... counting down the hours till Spring.

I enjoyed our location on the New Brunswick border, and being able to jump across and take in a hockey game. But now my youngest is a senior and his varsity season just ended. The Slammers and other hockey talent have games at the beautiful Woodstock Carleton County Civic Center arena and just because I am no longer chasing the black puck around Canadian rinks, it's time to take a trip across the border. The center also has a huge pool that younger kids really enjoy having their birthday parties at and it is reasonable priced to "rent". Woodstock New Brunswick is a beautiful little town similiar sized to Houlton Maine. Maybe hit a movie, check out some stores, get something to eat...and just get out of the country for something different to do. Change of scnery on a local level as winter winds down. From my home on North Street, the border is about two miles. Other ActiveRainers on the Northern or Southern border border also have the same option and depending on the value of the dollar/loonie, it can be a money When my two boys were in the minor hockey league, trips back and forth from Maine into Canada were
three and four times a week, or more.
saving trip too as relaxtion of duties on goods made in Northern America are no longer a concern. Canadian real estate brokers do the same thing all over North America. I see lots of gas and milk sales with drivers wearing Canadian plates. And a local grocer told me turkeys are the big carrot to get Canadians to cross the border too. He had over 700 in stock one morning and they were all gone by the end of the day and most of them destined for tables in Canada. Wonder if it is only the price or maybe something about range fed or the manner turkeys are raised in the Canada?

I'm doing another OPEN HOUSE this Sunday, March 15th, from two to four in the afternoon at 26 Firwood Crescent in Grove Hamlet subdivision. If you're in the market for a four upstairs bedrooms home and $184,900 is in your price range then you owe it to yourself to visit this property. This is a sale of an already foreclosed property by the mortgage insurer and could very well be great buy for you. Find more details or take a 360 degree virtual tour on the web at http://26Firwood.info.
Stop in for a visit or to just talk real estate.

Today we finished with our portion of the flooring we figured we could do. It looks fantastic, soon the flooring guy will be coming to finish up the dining room, kitchen and hall. Then all we have left to do is put everything back where we had it. In my office there is a home stager, so I am going to ask for some help before we take pictures and have it ready for the public. This all is turning out to be a very emotional process for me. The house is starting to look like I always wanted, and now I'm selling it. Oh well. I am excited to move too, so I guess thats the payoff. I will keep you posted...
