Aberdeen Lake Park, US Hwy 1, Aberdeen, NC 28315
The First Annual International Sardine Festival was held in October 1992 and every year there after people gather together in Aberdeen, North Carolina to admire classic automobiles, celebrate good times and graze on the traditional southern delicacy of sardines, moon pies and RC Cola's.
Sponsored by Sandhills Classic Street Rod Association, the 17th Annual International Sardine Festival Benefit Car & Truck Show was held at Aberdeen Lake Park, Aberdeen NC.
Proceeds from the event benefit local charities including Sandhills Teen Challenge and Aberdeen Parks & Recreation Youth Program, Aberdeen, NC.
One of the highlights of the festival is the arrival of the Sardine Queen, who is brought in by a caravan of convertibles, along with her court of past queens.
In case you missed the festival this year, be sure to get it on your calendar for next October 9th and we'll look forward to seeing you there!
