The Jordan Lake School of the Arts also offers occupational therapy, speech therapy and therapeutic listening on site, along with a "before and after school" program, which specific focus on the special needs of autistic students.
Beth Kuklinski, a parent of an autistic child and a certified educator, describes the Jordan Lake School of the Arts this way:
"Many schools have become places with no time or space for those who march to the beat of their own drum...we like the music better over here."

So much for the Recession! Here in Apex North Carolina several national companies have enough faith in this area to be opening 2 large stores in the next few weeks.
Scheduled for an October 14 opening, Walmart will be welcoming guests to it's latest super store. Located on the Apex Peakway by the intersection of Hwy 55 and Hwy 1, Walmart will be a great addition to our town.
Meanwhile, over at Beaver Creek Commons, a great crew is busy setting up the new A.C. Moore store. A very popular craft & art supply store, AC Moore sells everything from scrap-booking supplies to picture frames to kids toys and art supplies. This store will also be offering classes in cake decorating and many other of the popular crafts. An end of October opening is planned.
These two new stores will probably prove to be very popular to the retail market in Apex, especially in time for the upcoming holiday shopping.
Of course if you want to buy a house in Apex or Cary, Linda Jandura is always the one to call!

September is heralded as the end of summer, and in real estate our traditionally busiest season of the year.
After the apparent National free fall of the Real Estate Market, cushioned somewhat here in the Raleigh area by our relatively low appreciation rate of the last few year, we still like to see how the numbers add up.
With Apex being named as America's No.3 place to move by Forbes this year, has this inspired thousands to relocate here. Well, maybe not this year!
This information is for Area 15, the town of Apex proper as provided by the Triangle Multiple Listing Service.
As with the Cary Market report that I posted yesterday, the total # of homes for sale seemed to hold steady throughout the summer. However, the total # closed in August was way down. Looking at the number of homes under contract for August though, we can see that perhaps many of those will close in early September, or may not have been counted yet.
As with Cary, the average price of homes sold in the Area 15 section of Apex , rose significantly from June to August.
Like to know what the numbers say about your area? or more specifically, what your home is worth? Give me a call or email and I'll be happy to talk to you and get that information out to you.

I tried to find some really cool way to actually draw a line on this Google Map - but allas, I'm not that technically advanced.
The "A" on the Map above represents where you should draw a line for properties that qualify for USDA No Money Down, mortgage loans. If you can "imagine" a line from Highway 1 (Claude E Pope Memorial, also known as the Beltline) over to Kildaire Farm Road... everything BELOW that line qualifies for USDA financing.
This is a different view of the Holly Springs, Apex, NC qualifying areas for USDA. Everything ABOVE it (towards Cary) does not qualify for USDA home financing. The USDA line then pretty well follows Ten Ten Road over to Fuquay Varina. here's a map of that area.
If you are considering a home purchase in this area, we strongly suggest that you consider USDA for your Mortgage Financing options, even if you want to make a down payment! For more information about a specific address, please click here.
A substantial portion of our business is Government financing, and we have the best Investors, underwriters and the LOWEST RATES in the area! Please call Steve and Eleanor Thorne, 919-649-5058 for more details!
