Cary Park was built, starting in 2000, on 306 acres in south-western Cary at the corner of Cary Glenn Drive and Carpenter Firestation Road. Carpenter Firestation Road is off NC 55 near the new I-540 interchange. This convenience allows Cary Park residence the ability to get to the airport and North Raleigh in just minutes.
Cary Park is a unique community because of its many types of housing and numerous price points. Residents have been able to choose from apartments, condominiums, town homes (one, two, and three-story), patio homes, single family homes in price ranges right up the million dollar executive homes on the 13 acre pond.
Residents come together at the club house located in the center of the neighborhood. The amenities include a large clubhouse for everyone’s use that features indoor and outdoor fireplaces, game room, and meeting rooms for their multiple clubs. The pools, yes, that’s plural, include a gradual entry pool with a spiral slide. The second pool is a lap pool that the Cary Park swim team keeps busy winning swim meets during the summer months. The residents can also make use of the playground, sand volleyball court, and make-shift basketball court. And you’ll notice while visiting Cay Park neighbors making use of the Greenway, extensive walking trails throughout the neighborhood and surrounding area.
As with most Cary neighborhoods community is the goal and you can feel it and see it while visiting Cary Park.

Park Village was built between 1993- 1999, consisting of 606 homes, average lot size 0.22 acres. Park Village was designed with the first-time home buyer, young couple, and young families in mind. Back in 1993 it was a perfect fit for the fast growing Cary area. The homes average between $160,000 for the smaller one car garage homes and up to $320,000 for the larger homes that offer two car garages.
The neighborhood caters to the family with a large pool that hosts a yearly swim team; “Park Village Porpoises”. The festive clubhouse can be used by the residents for private events or neighborhood gatherings. A kid favorite is the large playground near the pond. This playground is also a favorite for parents to visit and playgroups to organize. The walking trails that wind through the wooded center of the community is just another attraction to this affordable neighborhood.
Another unique feature is the design of Park Village, no homes are on the main community road.
The biggest benefit to the community is its location! Davis Drive Elementary School and Davis Drive Middle School are within walking distance. They are the traditional school choice. Wake County Public School Traditional Calendar
Want the year-round option? Salem Elementary and Salem Middle School are right around the corner at the intersection of Davis Drive and Old Jenks Road.

Just a personal note, when I was out taking pictures of the front of Park Village I was stopped by the side of the road and turned on my flashers. A gentleman pulled over and asked if I needed any help. A few minutes later I was taking pictures of the walking trails and playground and spent 20 minutes talking to a resident about Park Village. That is why I love living in Cary...the sense of community!
