Lake Providence Real Estate in Weddington, NC has been on schedule as far as closings go this year. Since Lake Providence is a neighborhood of custom built homes on at least an acre lots, activity is usually quieter than the neighborhoods of spec homes. Five homes have closed this year with one home under contract right now. There were 6 homes that sold last year with 9 sold in 2007. There have been a lot of changes in the local market since 2007 so I expected to see a few less selling.

Lake Providence currently has 9 active listings from $ 350,000 up to $ 899,000. Lake Providence has two small lakes in the subdivision and 1+acre lots. The schools are Weddington Elementary, Weddington Middle and Weddington High. Union County taxes are low so a lot of people moved from Mecklenburg County out to Union County.

Lake Providence subdivision is located in Weddington, NC in Union County. Lake Providence has two lakes, hundreds of custom built brick homes and 1+ acre wooded lots.

Around the corner from Lake Providence are 3 award winning schools. Weddington Elementary, Weddington Middle and Weddington High School are all located on the same campus. The school reports can be seen on the Union County School Website.

Weddington Corners Shopping has a Harris Teeter grocery store as well as several restaurants, dry cleaners, veterinarian, physicians offices, etc. The Weddington Town Hall is located at the corner of Hwy 84 and Weddington Road.

Another unique feature of Lake Providence is that the HOA fees are modestly set at $ 60.00/year and are voluntary. The neighborhood is located several miles from I 485 for easy access to both I 85 and I 77.

Lake Providence is a fabulous neighborhood with quiet streets and a rural feel but yet close to shopping, restaurants and award winning schools.
