Bright's Creek Info: Nestled among the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina, Bright's Creek is an exclusive 5,000-acre property. It features exquisite homesites that offer breathtaking views of our world-class, Tom Fazio designed golf course surrounded by mountains with names like Cliffield and McCraw. In the deep gap that forms between them, members also enjoy horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, tennis, swimming and more. We like to think that's the hallmark of Brights Creek. First class amenities. And first-class people. A 24-hour guarded Greeter's Cottage assures peace of mind for residents. Offering luxury living within a mountain lifestyle, Bright's Creek boasts an award-winning Equestrian Center and Members' Lodge. Bright's Creek is a unique "fiber-to-home" community. All properties have high-speed Internet, free local and long distance phone service, 250 television channels and video on demand, plus in home conferencing. Public water, sewer and natural gas; all utilities are underground.
There's nothing commonplace about the natural beauty and careful attention to detail at Brights Creek. Select your homesite, high above the golf course, from those ranging in size from 1/2 acre to 5 acres. You'll find a wide selection of home options to fit your needs and lifestyle. There's a lot of things to do here. And a lot of good people to do them with. Folks who, like you, are here to enjoy the good life and the beauty of their surroundings. Beauty that, frankly, defies explanation
History: These 5,000 acres have always been home to those who appreciate life off the beaten path. The first settlers in the late 1700s chose to come south through the gap, rather than the more common approach from the Carolina coast. Residents in Deep Gap between Cliffield and McCraw Mountains used trees as drag brakes on steep roads to keep stagecoaches from running away. Life's easier now, but our pioneer spirit lives on
Location/Area: Bright's Creek sits just off Interstate 26 between Asheville, NC and Spartanburg, SC. It lies in Polk County, an area known for it's historic quaint towns, beautiful scenery, and ideal weather conditions.
Bright's Creek's location not only offers a beautiful setting and a desirable climate but excellent accessibility to prime southern cities, interstate highways and regional and international air travel as well. We are blessed with a very long list of things to see and do. There is majesty in our unspoiled parks and forests. Music and merriment at our many festivals. And artistry, from the architecture of Biltmore and Asheville to the performances on our stages to the paintings, sculptures and crafts found in galleries and museums. Nearby Tryon is a horse lover's community with annual Steeplechase event and a 50-year equestrian heritage. Tryon's renowned Barbeque festival brings thousand of visitors each year. Nearby Lake Lure is a summer retreat full of water activities. Downtown Hendersonville and Flat Rock Village are home to many historic sites. Daily tours of The Biltmore House in Asheville offer a glimpse inside one of America's richest families.

Real Estate: Home sites, ranging from one half acre to five acres, are situated on ridgelines, along creeks and within hardwood forests, start at $150,000. Members' Lodge Suites start at $340,000, low maintenance Golf Villas at $715,000 and custom homes at $585,000.

Golf: No matter your handicap, you'll find this course to be a true friend. One that's always willing to teach you something new about the game, and about the infinite pleasures of spending time amid the most beautiful scenery imaginable. This Tom Fazio masterpiece is so integrated into the landscape, it looks as though the mountains were built around it. And it's only the beginning. Bright's Creek is ranked as the 38th Best Residential Course in the US by GolfWeek Magazine. The most decorated golf course designer of the past two decades, Tom Fazio knows golf. When he says Bright's Creek is "as good as it gets," he means it. So good, it couldn't be contained within 18 holes. The par-3 19th Hog Hole is an extra bonus.
Equestrian Center: Some compare the sensation of horseback riding to flying. So, keep your heels down, your head high and take off on a new adventure. The Bright's Creek Equestrian Center has been designed with the highest level of custom horse care. We offer full board, training and lessons on your horse or ours as well as trail rides.
Swim and Tennis Center: Our large, resort-style pool will feature beautiful, natural stone decking, with plenty of fun things for adults and children to do. Nearby, you'll find health spa and a children's play area. Showers, lockers, changing rooms and fitness center will be adjacent to the pool. Enjoy the golf course view while taking advantage of Nautilus strength and Star Trac cardio equipment.
Kayaking: Our location adjacent to the Green River makes this a perfect home for anyone who loves river sports. The waters are relatively calm along our section of the river, but more accomplished kayakers will find exciting rapids nearby. Bring along a fishing rod as mountain trout are plentiful here. Local outfitters provide all equipment for a trip down the Green River or on nearby Lake Adger or Lake Lure.
Hiking: One of our most popular pastimes involves nothing more than putting one foot in front of the other. From easy saunters along tree-shaded trails that lead to refreshing waterfalls, to steeper, more vigorous treks along ridgelines, Bright's Creek offers a trail to suit your mood. Trails are well-maintained, miles are marked and trail signs keep you on track.
