Whether you're considering relocating from the other side of the country or the other side of the Triangle, you've probably wondered what the yearly property taxes might be for your new home.
Randolph County is located to the west of Chatham County and Alamance County, and north of Moore County. Randolph County encompasses cities such as Archdale, Asheboro, Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, and Randleman.
Here are the 2010 rates, by town within Randolph County. To get the total property tax rate for a town, simply add the county tax to the town tax. For example, Asheboro has a town rate of 0.55, and the Randolph County rate is 0.586. Add the two together - the total tax rate for Asheboro, NC is 1.136.

It's not as confusing as it looks. The tax rates are based on the assessed value of the home, not the asking price.
• Divide the assessed value by 100.
• Multiply the result by the combined rate on the right side of the table.
• The result will be your yearly property tax bill, as of 2010.

The table above gives sample property tax bills for all the cities in Randolph County, such as Asheboro, Liberty, Ramseur, and High Point.
There is no guarantee that tax rates will remain the same - check the Randolph County Property Tax Page for most recent information.
Your tax bill can be lower if your home or property is not actually within a municipality, or town. If this is the case, you'll pay just the County rate, plus most likely a fire district tax and/or the special district tax.

Asheboro is changing.
There are more choices than ever when it comes to satisfying your food cravings. We're not New York, but we've come a long way, baby.
When you're thinking about where to eat tonight, and you're looking for a change from the same old routine, consider the following Asheboro eateries:
1) Bistro 42
It was great in it's old location on Highway 42, but Luke Armitage and his crew have moved to 405-P East Dixie Drive in Asheboro and made it even better. The atmosphere is fun, but not rowdy. They've added a fabulous new pizza menu. I recommend the blackened beef tips appetizer....
It's unexpectedly good food. Try the hot spinach dip and the steak. Sinan knows how to cook a steak.
It has changed downtown Asheboro forever. I love the corn salsa with a glass of wine. The pizza is wonderful, and the atmosphere is fun and light-hearted.
4) Timothy's
Located at The Mill in downtown Asheboro. It's the restaurant of choice for elegant dining in Randolph County.
5) Taste of Asia
It's Asian cuisine at it's best. The food is light and fresh and refreshingly different.
Come dine with us in Asheboro.

Going to the NC Zoo? Park Hours: March 29 – October: 9 AM – 5 PM November – March: 9 AM – 4 PM The NC Zoo is open year round except Christmas Day. The 1st question you should ask yourself when you go to the NC Zoo is: Africa or North America? If you choose Africa, then you will be delighted by elephants, rhinos, gorillas and soon to be lemurs, but if you prefer North America, get ready to be dazzled by black bears, polar bears and the great American bison. What strikes you first about the Asheboro attraction is its shear size. One of the best attractions in North Carolina, you can walk over 5 miles and spend 5 hours on the zoo grounds (wear smart shoes, not high heeled boots). There is even a shuttle between the North America and Africa sections of the park to ferry hungry, tired souls from one expanse to the other. No matter where you choose to start, one thing is for certain, you will see animals and plenty of them from tiny fuzzy ones, to large scaly ones to blue poisonous ones, to pink winged ones, to all the ones in between and for only $10. That’s right, $10. For the price of a day at the movies, you can walk around this expansive compound and see mother natures greatest beasts at one of North Carolina’s best attractions. Who knew the zoo was such a bargain! The North Carolina Zoological Park is located about 1.5 hrs from Charlotte and 60 minutes South of Greensboro in Asheboro, NC. In the event of severe weather, the Zoo’s operating hours may change. See the weather forecast for Asheboro, NC. To plan your Zoo visit, please check the Zoo’s homepage for updates or call 1-800-488-0444. check out my Wordpress blog!
