The Bedford, NH recreation department is again sponsoring a Mens Over 30 Basketball League for 2008/09. Two leagues are anticipated, one competetive and one recreational style. To be elegible to participate you must be at least 30 years old, be a resident of Bedford, NH and register by October 13^th. Saturday Sept 20^th the annual Bedford Olde Town Day is scheduled. This tradition will continue rain or shine from 10am to 3pm at the Riley Field Complex located at the corner of Nashua and County Roads. Many great events are planned: Pony Rides for the kids, the Police silent auction, entertainment and talent shows, dodge-ball games for all ages and plenty of food and fun for all. Each Tuesday from 3-6pm twenty-five different local vendors, set up their wares for the traditional local farmer's market. Located at Benedictine Park, just off Route 101
on Wallace Road, Bedford, NH until October each year. Here you will find an abundance of seasonal locally grown fruits, vegetables, cheeses, wine, flowers, plants, herbs, baked goods, breads, coffee, and a whole lot more. What is unique to this local market is the organization's pleasant approach to assisting those in need. Each week the Bedford Farmers Market will donate a basket of goods to a local family, called the "Morgan Basket" named in memory of a faithful attendee Morgan Wassermann who loved to attend the weekly market event with her family.
