The Bonnie Blue Flag
In 1836 the Bonnie Blue Flag served as the inspiration for the first flag of the Republic of Texas, known as the Burnet Flag. It was replaced in 1839 by the currently used Lone Star Flag, which also bears a single star.

The Texas state flad is the 1839 National flag of the Republic of Texas featuring the famous Lone Star. The red, white, and blue of the Texas state flag represents bravery, purity and loyalty.
The song about The Bonnie Blue Flag:
The Bonnie Blue Flag holds special significance to the Texas brigade. The song was premiered by Iyricist Harry Macarthy during a concert in Jackson, Mississippi, in the spring of 1861 and performed again in September of 1861 at the New Orleans Academy of Music For the First Texas Volunteer Infantry regiment mustering in celebration. The New Orleans music publishing house of A.E. Blackmar issued six editions of The Bonnie Blue Flag between 1861 and 1864 along with three additional arrangements. The tune was so popular that Union General Benjamin Butler was said to have arrested and fined Blackmar for daring to publish it.

By having a First-Aid Kit for your Home and Car, you can be prepared for those little emergencies that come up in life. Taking the time to put yourself together a First-Aid Kit sure will help to ensure you and your family a smoother summer of fun.
Your First-Aid Kid can be as simple as a sealable plastic bag, a shoe box, or even an inexpensive tool box. What matters the most about your kit is the contents in it and the availability of your kit.
I carry two like this in my Jeep, with different items in each.

The American Red Cross suggests that you have one in each of your autombile's and in your home.
Some of the store-bought First-Aid Kits are designed for specific activities, like, hiking, camping, and boating.
Whether you buy a First-Aid Kit or put one together yourself, be sure it has all the items that you may need. Be sure to include any personal items, such as current prescription medications (now these you won't want to leave in the kid all the time, only if you are going a trip), a list of medical conditions and emergency phone numbers.
Putting an old cell phone and charger that you no longer use in your First-Aid Kit sure is also a real good idea. Make sure the battery is charged. A federal law mandates that all cell phones, whether under contract or not, must be able to call 9-1-1.
Be sure to check your kid regularly. Make sure the flashlight has working batteries in it. Check the expiration dates and replace any used or out of date items.
The American Red Corss recommends that a First-Aid Kit, for a family of four include the following items.

Residence's of Charlestown- it never to early, to get ready for our Town Wide Yard Sale!
Be sure to mark 18 July of this year, on your calendar, for the yearly Town wide yard sale. You won't want to miss it.
This is the time of year to turn your good, useble, wnwanted items in to some cash!
The event this year will be coordinated by the Knights of Columbus. They sure are hoping for a lot of participation from all the residence's of Charlestown, and even a bigger-and-better-than-ever yard sale event. In order for them to advertise this sale that covers our whole town, they are planing on starting earlier sign-ups this year. The more folks who pay the small fee to register to put their sale on the Town wide yard sale map, the more advertisind that can be done for the event.
This is always a fun feeled day, and there sure is always lot of money that changes hands. We always have lot of out-of-town folks, that plan to come to the event each year. Just to see what they may be able to find.
So get them items you think of as white elephants dusted off!

Residence's of Charlestown, New Hampshire
New rule start's as of Tuesday the 2 of June this year, all residence's vehicles entering the Charlestown Transfer Station will need to stop and check in with the attendant before proceeding to dump your recyclables and trash. The attendant will tell you where to dispose of your recyclables and municipal solid waste. They are saying the reason this action is being, is to facilitate the smooth operation of the facility, and to avoid any potential contamination of recyclable waste streams and to minimize the disposal casts of recyclables that are incurred when they are improperly discarded as trash. The transfer station is saying, these measures are solly intended to ensure the most cost effective operation of the facility thereby saving taxpayer dollars.
