Scott Knowles

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa I have called the Lakes Region home for the last 15 years. I have been involved in real estate in the Lakes Region for the last 10 years. I originally started working with rentals but five years ago I joined a partnership with Sandy Price and have been working since strictly in sales. Sandy and I have been one of the most successful sales teams in the Lakes Region and we look forward to continuing our success with ReMax Bayside. I live in Laconia with my beautiful wife Holly and when not selling or listing real estate I enjoy playing golf, hiking, boating, and just taking in the beautiful area around us. Please do not hesitate to contact me or my partner Sandy. We look forward to meeting all you real estate needs.

Though I'm a Realtor, I'm Also a Music Director - The Memorial Day Parades

Steve Bush / 603.455.7428 - NH Lakes Region: Real Estate Agent in Moultonborough, NH

I Love what I do! I have two great jobs.

Along with being a Realtor at Maxfield Real Estate in Center Harbor, New Hampshire, I'm the music director at Inter-Lakes Junior/Senior High School in Meredith, New Hampshire. We have students attending Inter-Lakes from Sandwich, Center Harbor, and Meredith. The population of the high school is just under 400 and my high school band is 52 members. I have been teaching at Inter-Lakes for 14 years, and consider the opportunity to work with young people at this fine school one of the high points of my life.

Monday we have the pleasure and good fortune to honor the men and women of the United States, who have served our Nation or continue to serve our Nation, by marching in two Memorial Day Parades. Not a single member of the band has said they can't be there, or that they have other plans. When everyone else in the school has a three day weekend the members of the band and flag squad will devote their day off to perform and show honor to our men and women of the armed forces.

I am an extremely blessed man to work with such wonderful young men and women and who knows for a fact that many of our youth appreciate and value what it means to be a citizen of the United States as well as how to give back in their own way and to say thank you.

In your own town or city please take the time to attend a Memorial Day event. It is always moving and often a paradigm shift that can change your life at least for a day if not for longer.

Meredith New Hampshire Real Estate Guide

Meredith, New Hampshire Real Estate

pictureMeredith, New Hampshire is a major resort town on the shore of storied Lake Winnipesaukee in the scenic Lakes Region. The town boasts an exquisite combination of lake and mountain scenery, historic New England charm, a friendly atmosphere and unspoilt natural beauty. And when it comes to recreation, amenities and relaxation, the community has something for everyone. Popular attractions include the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, the 567-acre Page Pond and Forest, the Annalee Doll Museum, the Children's Museum, and the Summer Theatre in Meredith Village.

Originally inhabited by the Winnipesaukee Indians nearly 10,000 years ago, the community was known in its early years as "Palmer's Town" in honor of local proprietor and explorer Samuel Palmer. One of the first towns chartered by the Masonian Proprietors, the town attracted several early settlers from Salem, Massachusetts and was renamed "New Salem" early in the 18th century. Finally, in 1768, the community was incorporated and given its present name in honor of Sir William Meredith, a member of the British Parliament who opposed taxing the colonies. Now a premier vacation destination within easy reach of the White Mountains, the Greater Boston region and the state's scenic Atlantic Ocean coast, the town remains both the geographical and recreational center of New Hampshire.

Covering 69 square miles in central New Hampshire, scenic Lake Winnipesaukee has been a popular tourist destination for more than a century. Surrounded by rugged mountains and encompassing 288 miles of shoreline in eight different towns, Lake Winnipesaukee is the premier attraction of New Hampshire's Lakes Region. Summer brings plentiful options for swimming at Lake Winnipesaukee's nine public beaches, while other popular water sports include boating, water skiing, canoeing, and fishing. Numerous hiking trails wind through the surrounding Ossipee and Belknap mountain ranges, and New Hampshire's majestic White Mountains are just a half hour's drive north. Residents and vacationers alike enjoy excellent skiing at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, majestic vistas at Moultonborough's Castle in the Clouds, numerous shops and restaurants in Laconia and Wolfeboro, and nearly a dozen golf courses throughout the region.
