Many of us who were born here or chose to move here, consider Wolfeboro as one of the finest places in which to live. If you know Wolfeboro, then you already know how special it is. If you don't know Wolfeboro you owe it to yourself to find out what you're missing. This four season lakeside community is a wonderful place to bring up a family as well as a perfect location for a vacation home. The community of Wolfeboro is situated on the eastern banks of Lake Winnipesaukee. Lake Winnipesaukee is the largest lake in New Hampshire covering 69 square miles, home to 253 islands and has approximatley 288' of shoreline. The communities that surround the lake are: Alton, Gilford, Laconia, Meredith, Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Tuftonboro (Melvin Village) and Wolfeboro. Lake Wentworth, Rust Pond and Crescent Lake are smaller lakes contributing to the beauty, charm and extrodinary waterfront properties of Wolfeboro. The lakes are really what make the town such a desirable destination. As one could imagine there are a multitude of summertime activities to enjoy on the water: kayaking, scuba diving, waterskiing, fishing, swimming and sailing to name a few. On land there are two golf courses and miles of trails for hiking and biking. When winter arrives the community is blessed to have plenty of cross-country ski and snowmobile trails, ice skating, ice boating and ice fishing.
