So I signed in and started following the Fairfield Police Department. Not only as an agent but as a resident of Fairfield, I think its great that the police department is taking the next step and getting involved in the Web 2.0 world and keeping the residents up to date via text on important crime and safety issues in the Fairfield Community.

The Fairfield Home and School Association is sponsoring its annual After School Clubs at Adlai E. Stevenson School for grades 1-3. The clubs start on Wednesday, January 21st and will run for four consecutive weeks on Wednesdays with the last class ending on February 11th.

We are looking for instructors to teach the students in their area of expertise. In the past, we have been able to offer exciting programs like: arts and crafts, cooking, fitness way, yoga, Tae Kwon Do....and many more!!! The programs run from approximately 3:20pm until 4:30pm and instructors are PAID for their time.

A great opportunity for local businesses and/or talented parents to benefit the children of the Fairfield School System and possibly even stir up some business for yourself!

Fairfield Holiday Kick Off Starts Sunday December 7th at 4:30 p.m.

Gina Chirico, Specializing in Essex County, Prudential New Jersey Properties: Real Estate Sales Person in Fairfield, NJ

Come share the joy of the season with my family and neighborhood friends as Mayor James Gasparini kicks off the Fairfield holiday season with the lighting of the Fairfield Town Tree on Sunday, December 7th at the Fairfield Recreation Complex on Hollywood Avenue.

Its such a delight to listen to the Fairfield Busy Hands program four year old classes singing the holiday songs. I remember four years ago when my oldest son's class performed at the tree lighting (oh wait..that's right..he was the ONLY one crying and my husband had to take him off stage). Meanwhile I was pregnant with my third and it'll be his turn next year to sing while my daughter and her class sang last year (yes...she actually DID sing)! Such warm memories of the Annual Tree Lighting!

Hot cocoa, coffee, cookies, photos with Santa (don't forget your cameras) and holiday horse and wagon rides are free and open to ALL FAIRFIELD adults, children, family and friends.

Thanks again to the Township of Fairfield and Fairfield Department of Recreation for providing yet another fun and free event for the families of Fairfield. I look forward to seeing you there!!

This is a rain or shine event so please dress accordingly!

The Fairfield Department of Recreation can be reached at 973-227-2745.

~~HAPPY HOLIDAYS~~

Sports U Family Fun Day ~~ Part II (Fairfield, NJ)

Gina Chirico, Specializing in Essex County, Prudential New Jersey Properties: Real Estate Sales Person in Fairfield, NJ

As a follow up to my previous post about Sports University, my family and I joined in on the family fun day. The younger ones had a ball on the Kids Zone Obstacle Course.sports u

sports uWhile the older ones tested their football throwing skills, 40 yard dash and 1/2 court throw contest.

My husband ran into an old friend he grew up with who is actually looking to buy in market area of Essex County so I look forward to working with him.

I also ran into a friend from high school who I probably haven't seen in about 13 years. He is running a its a small world after allwrestling program at the facility. His cousin is actually my manager at PNJP. It's a small world...but it was nice seeing him after all these years.

Although there was a quite a good turnout, I was suprised to see that in a town that has over 700 children in the grammar schools alone that there were not many families from town there but then again we were able to meet up with two friends from our past, the kids had an absolute ball and we supported our town's Sports U Program!
