Brookville, one of the most sought after address on the North Shore of Long Island, is located south of Muttontown, north of Jericho, west of Syosset and east of Greenvale and Old Westbury. The village of Brookville used to be the enclave of the very wealthy people who built huge mansions with expansive properties. Most of the large estates have been subdivided over the years and there are very few left around.

Brookville has a lot to offer clients with discriminating taste. Prices of homes for sale in Brookville ranges from $1,399,000 to $5,995,000. Most of the properties in Brookville are on flat ground with very few exceptions that sit on a slope. There are tremendous amount of "McMansions" on new developments.

Brookville does not have its own post office but shares with Glen Head - 11545. Brookville does not have a shopping center and residents shop in nearby community in East Norwich and Oyster Bay or Greenvale. School districts for Brookville residents can be Jericho, Locust Valley or Oyster Bay-East Norwich. There is one private school in the area- Lutheran High School. Golf courses abound. Brookville is only minutes to major highways and Syosset branch of the Long Island Railroad is close by.

NEW YORK CITY GROWS GARDEN FESTIVAL - Sunday, April 27, 2008

The National Gardening Association and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation are hosting their third annual garden festival sponsored by Target this Sunday, April 27, 2008 in Union Square Park South Plaza at 14^th Street from 10 AM to 5 PM. There will be gardening demonstration, chef cooking demonstration, food and beverage samplings, lots of activities for kids and the whole families. There will be prize drawings totaling more than $5,000. Entry forms are available at the information tent and you need not be present to win. There are some gardening celebrities like Rebecca Kolls to answer your gardening questions.

The Manhattan Rose Society of which I am the treasurer has a booth there. We are giving free rose plant for each new membership. Members of the Manhattan Rose Society and Consulting Rosarians from the American Rose Society like me will be on hand to give FREE advice on how to grow beautiful roses. Drop by at our booth and say hello. I will be there till noon. I have to leave early because I have to do an Open House at 3 PM on my listing at 1 Ripley Ln., Muttontown, NY.

For customers who are looking in the Brookville area on the North Shore of Long Island, there are plenty of choices around.
