This photo was taken in the College Point store.

May be people rushing to shopping for Christmas gift in the last weekend.

May be it was the weather.

May be people just cutting more spending.

No matter what the reason is, their earning will be hurt with this scene. I am afraid their stock price will go below the 50-days moving average and hit 52-weeks low. Until then the stock market will go further down, so as the real estate market.

We are in a recession, we are in a bear market. No company will immune from it. Right now stock price of companies such as Wal-mart, BJ, Verizon are still showing strong trend. I think that is the last phrase before market hitting bottom when people finally cutting the basic needs. Same as real estate market, co-op which is the most affordable compare to single family or condo, is the last to hit bottom.

The Little Minions got to play in the snow today. I also took them on two tours of homes because I am working on two Comparative Market Analysis; one for Flushing and the other for Jamaica, NY.

We had a blast building snowmen and having snowball fights. Stephen got to pretend-drive his fave wooden car and Noah demolished his snowman creation with some of the kids in the backyard of our apartment building.

We stopped by our new construction to make sure the pipes were okay because at one point the temperature fell down to 32 degrees. I have to hold an RSVP Open House over there on Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 11:30 - 12:30. I'm looking forward to it.

To schedule an appointment to view contact Carolyn Tann-Starr, Realtor, REMAX People Realty: 718-483-7339. The featured property is a 2008 2 Family Semi-Detached Contemporary (brick and concrete construction) 3 bedrooms over 3 bedrooms with private drive, full finished basement, 2 eat in kitchens, L shaped living / dining room, gas fuel, steam heat, 2 heating zones and separate hot water heaters. Close to public transportation, schools and shopping. The address is 147-50 Glassboro Avenue, Jamaica NY 11435 (off the corner of Sutphin Blvd). My kids love this place. Noah is sooo into Open Houses and Sutphin Pizza provides Spanking-A buffalo wings to go with our pizza (LOL).

We had a fun snow day. I love being a Work-At-Home-Mom (WHAM) with a hubby on vacation. Having the Big Minion around is nice and The Little Minions have a way of making work not feel like work (LOL). Here's a photo-montage of where we've been today. Enjoy! :-)

I Love Being An Artist... I Have Such A Thing For Eye Candy!

I love being a Work-At-Home-Mom (WHAM). I love being an artist. I have such a thing for eye candy and am always looking for something beautiful to enjoy. I don't know about you, but I am definitely a Spring-Fall baby. There is something about those vibrant colors that just gets my brain rolling in high gear and makes me want to whip out my oil paints and create a new work of art...

I am on a very interesting team that is judging an art contest between Realtors. I've enjoyed some fascinating e-mails from across the country. Truth be told, it's actually an International Competition because the Canadians have come out to play and we have a wonderful judge named Poppy Dinsey from London, UK. It's a Club Chaos Photography and Video competition regarding the Fall Season. Since I am on a panel of 7 moderators, I can not participate as a contestant, however, I can provide sneak previews of what I would be doing if I were actually in the game. Besides, I think it would be mad fun to tease some of the participants who also happen to be my friends.

Here is a tasty little bit of Fall eye candy from my turtle run in Flushing Meadows Park. I wonder what my peers have in store for me today... Looking forward to it.

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one." Mother Teresa

Elizabeth Nieves, the founder of Activist Rain selected that quote as part of her group's description. It is about "one thing... and one thing only: recognizing that ONE PERSON can change the world one simple act of kindness of and love at a time."

Jason Crouch introduced me to Elizabeth's blog. Paddy Pizappi invited me to join her group. After reading the posts published there I found myself wondering what act of kindness I was going to perform today. When you are being spontaneous it is so easy to be kind, but when you are determined to change something for the good of someone else, being deliberate and calculating in your actions to maximize your effectiveness is a whole other ballgame...

Today's Flushing turtle run is dedicated to Jason, Paddy and Elizabeth because they have changed how so many of us feel about blogging in the Rain...

In "Blog Action Day 2008 - POVERTY (Do you have the COURAGE to look at this photograph?" Elizabeth speaks of Kevin Carter and the choices he made that may startle you. In "It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tell Ten Friends and so on..." Paddy encourages us all to join in the fight against cancer. In "ActiveRain is Amazing - Local Networking Pays Dividends," Jason details how placing relationships first resulted in a wonderful business referral from Russell Lewis. BTW, if you haven't read Russell's blog I highly recommend you do so as well as subscribe to the other members featured. You will not be disappointed. I certainly enjoy them on a daily basis.

Here's a little eye candy from my turtle run. Stay tuned for a tour of Brooklyn Brownstones and Townhouses next.

Citi Field and Shea Stadium have a statistical comparison chart that you can read here at the New York Mets official website. Citi Field is due to open in April of 2009 and I am very excited about that because we are going to bring the boys to a family day event. How would you like to see a time lapse video recording of the construction over a period of months? It's a very cool little video but a bit slow so please have some patience while you are waiting for it to load. You can watch the video clip here.

Here is a little eye candy from my turtle run this morning. It was fun hanging out with the hard hats. I'll be back next month to update you on their progress with more photographs. Enjoy!
