I'm surprised to hear this, but also somewhat excited to see who goes into that space. I heard a rumor ... and please, it's just a rumor that a developer was looking to "develope" the space above Boscovs into apartments or condos.

Now I could really get excited about that.

Our Market in The Hamlets is improving.

Simply Put, a few months ago, we averaged 2 sales a month. We are beginning to see now 3-4 sales per month. There is quite a bit of inventory. The chart below gives a birdseye view. There are currently 23 ACTIVE listings priced between 299,900 (for a one bedroom) up to $477, 999 (2 BR/1.5 baths).

If you're thinking about a condo purchase in Nanuet, be careful you don't pass over what I think is one of the nicest developments. It's called The Hamlets, and it's located in Nanuet, New York in Rockland County.

We are within close communting distance to The Tappan Zee Bridge. You will have an easy commute to New York City. On my web site I even have a link to our local COACH BUS showing you the schedule and the placesthe bus stops. The Coach Bus comes right into our development. I see my neighbors getting on and off each day.

We have lived in The Hamlets almost 10 years now. If you're looking for a realtor who really knows their way around this development, may I humbly say "it's me". We live in the Knolls East Section. My neighbors tell me I'm known as the "flower lady" because we live on the corner and one of my passions is gardening. I spend a small fortune every spring/summer to make a blaze of color on Wedgewood Drive.

What you need to know is that there are five different developments inside The Hamlets. They are
Treetops, Timberline, Vista, Knolls East, and Eagle Ridge. They each have their own pool andare all very distinctive. There are two tennis courts, and it's always easy to find an empty court here. There is a community building which can be rented out for special occasions, and its also where we all vote.

We are very community minded here, friendly (but not overly so) and pets are allowed.

In my opinion, one of the nicest parts of Rockland County to rent would be Avalon Gardens in Nanuet. My sister used to live there and i would always go visit the complex. They have great amenities including a pool, full gym and my favorite, racquetball courts.

One of Avalon's requirements is that all rentals carry atleast 100,000 in personal liability insurance. This protects you as well as the Complex if someone falls and gets injured in or around your apartment. If you are moving to Avalon I would be happy to set up your renters insurance.
