Introducing the Bob Haywood 2010 Commercial

Bob Haywood, www.BobHaywood.com: Real Estate Agent in Tulsa, OK

Okay folks, after much trial and error and having to settle on something that I'm totally thrilled about (thanks to the stinky weather we've been having), it is time to roll out my 2010 commercial. It's a month past scheduled air date, but here it is...

You can see that it is shot in front of a green screen. The weather forced us indoors. All in all...it's okay.

Kind of catchy theme song, huh?

If you live in the Tulsa area, watch for it to air on Channel 2 at various times.

Doggie Doors - Take 'em or Leave 'em

02-08-10
Peggy Givens
Peggy Givens: Home Stager in Tulsa, OK

Doggie doors are the greatest invention of ALL time. My cats use their "window door" all of the time. It was so nice to finally get them trained... now I am free. But, what if I don't have a dog or cat - this means I will need to replace the door after I move in. Home owners today generally don't have the time or energy to make changes to their newly purchased home right at or soon after they move in.. Most likely, they have been busy updating THEIR OWN home for sale and now don't want to buy a house that will need more of the same... at least not right away.

Most everything you will do to your house in preparation to sale, will bring you great returns... including a sale!

If you can, replace doggie doors before you list especially if it is on the inside of the home. These are the doors that are easier to replace. In this photo, the homeowner had this hollow core door replaced and it took this room from looking like a room next to the garage (this door went into the laundry room) to looking "dressed" to be simply a nice sellable room.

Put your self behind the home buyer's eyes.

Think about what they may want, not what you have liked while you lived in and loved this home.

No more doggie door!

This room looks fresh with no sign of pets.

The home owner also took out the cabinet over the counter to give this potential office area a better look.

This is what HOME STAGING is all about.

Our family's rendition of the Super Bowl party - chili cook-off with the Kingsleys

Lori Cain - Midtown Tulsa Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Tulsa, OK

Our family's rendition of the Super Bowl party

Deme and I are happy to be included in the Kingsley family's annual Super Bowl get-together and chili cook-off. Chili cook-off winner, Alex and fiance Barbra

Now, a chili cook-off may sound like a simple thing during a Super Bowl game, but this family owns the Coney Island restaurants around Tulsa and they all make excellent chili every day. So, it's slightly intimidating to enter their contest for the best chili.

Tonight, chili entries were submitted by Chuck and Pope; Michael Kingsley; Deme; Alex; and Barbra. First time contestant and fiancé to Barbra, Alex came out the winner and took home the trophy. Congrats Alex!!

Best thing about Super Bowl evening with the Kingsleys is that the guys watch the game in the den and the ladies visit in the kitchen. Tonight's kitchen entertainment was Cranium, a fun and interactive game guaranteed to make you do silly things.

Sophia and Allison teamed up; Barbra and Kate teamed up. I was on a team with Evonne and Pope. If you've never played Cranium, you should try it. It's a combination of trivia, cherades, drawing, humming, sculpting and more.

The chics playing Cranium

Sometimes the artist has to close her eyes while drawing. Sometimes everyone playing gets to guess the answer. The humming was definitely fun, as well as acting out a person your team-mate has to try to guess.

Barbra did an excellent impression of Clint Eastwood. Pope stumbled a bit over humming "Stop in the name of love," and Evonne drew an awesome King Kong that I couldn't guess. We invented a few dances tonight and Barbra got her aerobics in.

Sophia and Evonne are the natural artists, although Kate sculpted an excellent burger. Pope is the wordsmith and Allison is the dictionary. Most amazing win was Barbra and Kate's drawing of the toucan, guessed in less than ten seconds.

Eventual winners of the Cranium game were Pope, Evonne and myself.

Oh, and we heard that the "Saints" won as well. Coincidence?
