Can You Believe It? Christmas in June...

Al and Peggy Cunningham Voted Best Real Estate People- Brampton: Real Estate Agent in Brampton, ON

It was another great weekend.  Little rain on Sunday, but the grass and flowers needed it.  We were up in Orillia, ON on the Saturday to check out the annual Boater's Christmas in June event for 2009.  Imagine, Christmas in June.  Us Canadians have a hard time relating to Christmas without snow.  We know a lot of you would have a hard time believing it also, so here's some proof.

We had to show you that little video, Christmas songs in June, crazy eh?

Check these pics, some of the Captains and their crew went all out decorating their boats.  Different themes were abundant.  One boat had over 15,000 lights.

Everything continued to heat up through out the day.  People were lining up along the shore waiting for the parade of lights.  The sun went down... the lights came on and ahoy... they were off.

Merry Christmas,

Al and Peggy Cunningham

Summer Staging Tips

Sandi Gerrard, CRSS : Home Stager in Brampton, ON

Well summer has officially arrived and in the GTA it's been very HOT. I'm not complaining ... this warm weather was long overdue and much anticipated. But no matter what the conditions, you can always hear someone commenting on the weather.

When selling your home at this time of year, you want to ensure that the inside temperature is comfortable. Not too frosty please ! Most people will be dressed for the heat and will simply shiver indoors, causing them not to linger.

Many people keep the blinds down and draperies drawn in an attempt to keep out the heat. However, when showing your home to potential buyers, this tactic will make the home feel dark, drab and dingy. Let the sun shine in to brighten each room.

If you have a woodburning fireplace, disguise the unused opening with a decorative screen or large plant so buyers aren't staring into a gaping, soot-filled hole.

We hope that all seasonal decor has been put away by this time - don't forget those holiday cushions and the fuzzy red throw. Summerize your decor with crisp linen and fresh flowers. Swap the dusty pinecones for shells or rocks.

Brampton is a wonderful city to live in and to work in.  The parks, the trails and the recreation centres are in abundance.

We just want to concentrate today of Chinguacousy Park, which is located between Central Park and Bramalea Road on the north side of Queen St.

What a park... There is just about everything you can think of to do.  From a casual stroll, to a game of baseball.  Feed the ducks and the geese or stop for a spot of tea at the Tea House.

Well, guess the kids would tell you their favorite spot in the park.  They like the paddle boats, and the swings and things, but their favorite spot, is the Mini Moo barn where the Cockadoodle Crew hang out attending all the animals.

Okay, enough jabber, bring on the videos and let see some of this Mini Moo stuff...

Good Morning Everyone,

Yesterday we lost an ICON, "Kodachrome Film" today we lost another ICON "Ed McMahon".  We are sure a lot of you will remember the famous introduction "Here'ssssss Johnny" as Ed introduced Johnny Carson for years.  You probably know Ed as the man giving away those poster size checks in the TV commercials.

Ed dies at 86 years old.  Our condolences to the family.

Did you hear the news?

After 70+ years Kodak announced today that they were going to stop the production of "Kodachrome" film. They reported that sales of the film were way off the mark and represented a very small portion of their overall sales.

You know, since we bought our first point and shoot digital camera some years ago, our Nikon F90 which was one of the best when we bought it; is now hidden somewhere in a closet. Just checked, still got rolls of unused film. Maybe it will be worth something to a collector 50 years down the road.

Our biggest dilemma today is whether to buy a high end Nikon SLR type or a high end video camera capable to take individual shots?

Or

Any ideas, love you to pass them along. Video seems to be the market of the future.

Talk with you soon, have a great day,

Al and Peggy Cunningham,
