One day. One night. One community. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will take place at Inza R. Wood Middle School across the field from Wilsonville, Oregon's Villebois neighborhood. The weekend kicks off with an opening ceremony at 7 p.m. on June 19^th, and an all-night party, which includes dinner, a luminaria ceremony, midnight pizza, games for the kids, all-night coffee, breakfast, dawn yoga and more.

Leave early, stay for a few hours or hang out all night as participants walk around the track at Inza R Wood Middle School. Bring a chair, warm clothing, a flashlight and umbrella, but please leave your dogs at home. For those hearty souls who want to spend the night, you may bring a tent and sleeping bags. Food and beverages will be supplied by local stores and restaurants for a small fee.

Area residents have formed the Villebois Community Team and welcome others to join them. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives lost to the disease and raise money to help fight it.

Last weekend, at Costa Pacific Homes, we held the Grand Opening of the Villebois Village Center in Wilsonville, Oregon. During the event, we unveiled the newest homes to grace the heart of the award-winning Villebois neighborhood: the luxurious three-story Sevilles Rows and the French-inspired one-level and two-story Carvalho Condominiums.

Throughout the course of the weekend, the Villebois Village Center hosted live radio remotes from local radio station KXL's "Lars Larson" show as well as its "Around the House" show. Radio personality and local financial expert Brian Bushlach hosted the "NW Vine Time" segment from the balcony of the new Seville Rows model home and served wine from the Dundee-based vineyard Dobbes Family Estate to visitors during the program.

Additionally, Costa Pacific partnered with Starbucks to introduce its new VIA^TM Ready Brew for the first time in the state of Oregon. Visitors to Villebois between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 16^th were the first in the Portland metropolitan area to try the new instant coffee from the nation's leading coffee company. Most java lovers were impressed with how much VIA^TM Ready Brew tastes like regular Starbucks coffee.

As Oregon celebrates its Sesquicentennial (150th birthday), residents of the award-winning Villebois community will celebrate with other local citizens at the Wilsonville 150 Parade at 10 a.m. on May 30, 2000. The city kicks off the festivities with the parade in conjunction with the 2009 Wilsonville Arts Festival.

The Villebois neighborhood will have its own float in the parade, featuring vignettes of activities and events held year round in the community. Residents will walk alongside the float with their kids or ride their bikes, push strollers or walk their pets. All Villebois and Wilsonville neighbors are welcome to participate!
