The Sweater Shoppe, Etc., answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in West Linn, OR 2/8/12
Congrats to John McCarthy & Rob D. Shepard, ( a tie) for correctly guessing last week's Where is it Wednesday titled:
Check out their blogs if you haven't!
Hint: This is obviously a Clothing Shoppe...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Sweater Shoppe, Etc. in West Linn, Oregon
Located in Historic Downtown Willamette, I can say that this store has saved me a couple of times when I needed a top for a nice occasion like a holiday party to a nice but casual sweater to wear while touring the wine coutry with friends (limo style) to taste some of our delicious pinot noirs. I even had to buy a chic green raincoat because the mannaquin outside looked so good in it.
Don't let the name fool you...The Sweater Shoppe,Etc. sells more than sweaters (the etc. part). You can pick everything you need to accessorize your outfit. Along with good quality sweaters and t-shirts, you can find some fun jewelry, purses, and scarves.
If you're looking for a great shoppe with excellent customer service, check out the Sweater Shoppe Inc. After perusing the two story shoppe and picking up a few items ( hey, the sign at the register does say "Your husband called and said you can buy anything"), take a stroll and check out some of the other cool stores along in the Historic Downtown Main Street and finish off in one of the great restaurants for lunch or dinner!
Oh..and they also have another shoppe in another one of my fave places, Salishan in Gleneden Beach!
Sorry this pic didn't come out as clear as I'd like..talk about service with a smile!
Synergy Staging was recently contacted to stage a gorgeous home in Lake Oswego Oregon. It's sweeping views, dramatic ceilings and high end finishes were definite selling points. However, our client understands the value of bringing a home like this to life to so potential buyers fall in love.
Prior to staging, the home was cold, empty, and stark. Once furnished and accessorized with an elegant design it was transformed into a home that buyers could envision living in.
Here are some of the before and after photos of this property:
Note all the living room built-ins. When approaching a space like this we find it important to accentuate the architecture and simplify the cluttered effect that staging the built-in shelving would create in the space. By adjusting the shelving we could control how much staging we wanted to use for a simple less cluttered look.
Recently the West Linn/Wilsonville School Board approved adding a language immersion program in two of its West Linn Willsonville Schools. The two newest schools in the the district, Lowrie and Trillium Creek primary schools, will add the immersion program for one of their Kindergarten classes. The addition was unanimously approved by the board. This time around the board is convinced that having the immersion programs at the new schools solves many of the shortfalls of the initial program that was cut after only 1 year. As some of you may remember, this was a very controversial decision and created quite a "buzz" in the district.
I think this only helps and supports the case that most of us (who live in the district) already know - the West Linn/Wilsonville schools are among the best in the state. For more information about the schools you can go to my website, www.kaseysaito.com or the district site, http://www.wlwv.k12.or.us
My favorite places to grab dinner in West Linn are those that are local, fast and serve quality food. Some of my favorite places are Thai Linn, Bj Willies, Pine Garden and Sushi Boat.
For me and my family, dinner can be an after thought. It can be 7:30 and we have no idea of what to do, this is usually when you find us at one of these places. They all have food that both my kids will eat (that is should be enough to get you all there) that both my wife and I enjoy. Being a vegetarian family makes our dining options more limited. But we can find something on all of their menus that we love, whether it is the "mac & cheese pizza" or the "Salad Rolls" the food is always good.
Some of our favorites at BJ Willies are the Mac & Cheese Pizza, salads and humus plate. Sushi Boat offers my kids their favorite Udon Noodles and a variety of sushi options that roll past you constantly. Pine Garden serves quality Chinese food, we usually get the Egg Flower soup, fried rice and one of the many noodle options. The newest restaurant is Thai Linn, I have had many conversations with the owner. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is excellent. And here is a little known secret, they often have homemade Chocolate Cake - you just have to ask!
And lets not forget service, all of these have excellent customer service. I highly recommend them all!
