Cove Oregon Community Profile | Cove Oregon Real Estate For Sale
So what the heck is Cove Oregon? Well I will tell you! Cove Oregon is a beautiful small community located in the southern portion of the Grande Ronde Valley, about 13 or so miles from downtown La Grande Oregon. Cove is a great place to live with long days for a great growing season and all kinds of real estate available for sale. You can find many classic homes for sale in Cove, as well as other real estate like ranches, farms, lot and land and property that has water or forest. But lets check out a couple photos before I go on!

Cove Oregon gets lots of afternoon sun that makes for a long growing season. It also keeps the snow from accumulating too much in the winter.
Cove has a great feel with very friendly people and many enjoyable activities for all to enjoy. Cove Warm Springs Pool is a great place for a dip. Views are amazing all around you!
If you have any questions about Cove Oregon Homes or Real Estate for sale or just the area in general, don't hesitate to email me at jeff@jeffdclark.com or call my cell at 541-805-8274.
Thanks and have a great day!

Will the Foreclosure Surge Skip La Grande Oregon? | La Grande Oregon Real Estate News 2010

For some, the thought that a small town in Eastern Oregon is not saturated with foreclosures and short sales boggles the mind. However, the truth remains that by comparison to larger areas, we have not seen nearly the drop they have seen. Sure, we have lost some real estate value and we have a few foreclosures, but no where near the surge that nearly destroyed cities like Bend and Portland.
So why you ask? There are a number of reasons but I will touch on the ones I believe are the most obvious and biggest contributors.
Eastern Oregon did not overbuild. During the boom, we just did not have subdivision after subdivision going in.
Extreme aesthetic beauty. If you don't know, you should take a trip here.
Low home values to begin with. While we saw some folks shooting for the stars in 2007, we never really had values that were 50% over market.
So now we look toward the future. Will we see a foreclosure surge in 2010 that will ultimately reduce our property values? I think the answer lies with the other areas. Portland and Bend are recovering. California is on the rebound. These have historically been sources of buyers for our small community. We did sustain job losses, but perhaps just as unemployment and savings accounts are running dry, the out-of-towners and an improving economy will help prevent the foreclosures that could occur.
Fingers crossed.

With little snow on the ground, the roads clear and the sun shining I have to remind myself that it is winter. This time last year we were knee deep in the white stuff (which I love)! My husband and I cross country ski from our back door onto our property and when we're really ambitious we head onto the National Forest and up the slopes of Mt. Emily. We definitely need more snow to turn our beautiful valley into the winter wonderland that I love!
I was born and raised in Mobile Alabama (but have now lived in Oregon for longer than I ever lived outside of Oregon) and heard from my niece this morning that it is snowing in Birmingham! Now that is just not right. I'm happy my niece and great nephews can play in the snow but am also a little envious. I just love the snow!
I was out showing some rural properties this morning and with the temperature in the low 40's the ground is softening and the mud thickening. I guess that is what boots are for, right?
Well, off to sell some La Grande real estate this afternoon if all goes well. Qualified, motivated buyers...just need the right piece of property to inspire.
Stay safe, stay warm and happy sales to you! Remember I love referrals and promise to deliver Service Beyond Expectations! Send me a note!
