Recommendation:

If you're buying a home, it is important that you work closely with a highly-motivated agent who understands what's going on with the real estate market and local economy. He/She will be able to advise you on how to get the most for your money and what homes you may want to avoid, as there are homes on the market that are not priced at their fair market value.

If you're selling your home, it's also important that you work closely with a highly-motivated agent who understands what's going on with the market and local economy. Your goal is to net top dollar - which you may not achieve if you over price or under price your home.

Contact me in case you want a free consultation on whether it's a good time to buy or sell and what factors to consider so that you don't under price or over price your home. Please don't hesitate to contact me by telephone or email - even if all you have is a question.

Craft Sale at Whitfield House and Museum Lawn in Nazareth, PA

Brigita McKelvie - Lehigh Valley, PA, Residential, Rural & Horse Properties: Real Estate Agent in Nazareth, PA

Saturday, a craft sale was held on the lawn of the Whitfield House and Museum in Nazareth, PA. It was a gorgeous morning and my husband and I walked around to see. There were many tables set up and many crafts.

Some were selling jewelry, art work, woodwork, home made sauces and jellies and baked goods. At one table, a Native American was selling hand made Native American Flutes and drums. He even played some of them. They have such a mellow sound. At another table, a vendor was selling handmade wooden plaques which were in 3D. I have never seen such artwork and it was beautiful. I almost bought one. (A horse head, of course. What else?)

In addition to the crafts, food was available on the premises, such as hot dogs, home made fudge (mmmmm), and even the ice cream truck was there.

While walking around, music was playing. It ws a local brass band. If you wanted to, you could bring your own chair and just sit and enjoy the food and music.

If you brought the kids, there was even an area for them to play and be entertained.

During this whole event the museum was open for a reduced admission rate of $1 that day. It had been a long time since we had been in it and decided to tour it. All I can say is Nazareth has a lot of history behind it.

Overall, there was a little something for everyone that day to enjoy. I hope to come back again to this event next year.

Brazilian Dining in Nazareth, PA

Brigita McKelvie - Lehigh Valley, PA, Residential, Rural & Horse Properties: Real Estate Agent in Nazareth, PA

Rios Brazilian Steakhouse is located in the center of Nazareth, PA. Everytime you go by the restaurant it smells sooooo good. This weekend, my husband and I decided to finally try it.

Here is our experience:

When we were seated at a table, the waiter took our drink order. (All the employees happen to be Brazilian.) I ordered a "Brazilian Lover". I'm game for trying anything once. We were then informed how you were served.

You served yourself at the salad bar. It had a huge assortment, hot and cold. There were a variety of salads (green, beet salad, Brazilian potato, etc.) along with rice, baked Ziti, chicken lasagna, etc. I sampled a little bit of the foods I have never had before.

Once you are seated after the salad bar, waiters come around to each table, with assorted meats on skewers. It consisted of lamb, chicken, turkey, pork, sausage and steak. All are barbequed on the charcoal grill, which you see when entering the restaurant. I sampled a piece of each. It was absolutely delicious. We were also served garlic bread. That was my favorite. (I love garlic.)

You can have any or all of the meats offered. The waiters just keep coming around until you tell them to stop. It's an all you can eat place. I must tell you, after sampling the different foods, we were stuffed. We had no room for a second round.

We did mange to squeeze in dessert. It was pineapple grilled with sugar and cinnamon on it. Very tasty. How could I say no to that?

It was a different experience but the food was good and filling.

When you go here, make sure you bring a huge appetite.

A Long Awaited Store Opening In Nazareth

Brigita McKelvie - Lehigh Valley, PA, Residential, Rural & Horse Properties: Real Estate Agent in Nazareth, PA

A long awaited store opening in Nazareth, PA is finally opening it's doors to the public. The store is Tractor Supply.

To many of us, it has seemed like forever as we watched the building go up, awaiting the moment to see the sign "OPEN".

I was one of the privelidged few community members that received an invitation to preview the store this past Friday evening. I managed to squeeze in time in my busy schedule to attend the preview.

As I walked into the store, I was greeted by some of the employees. I walked around the store to see what they had to offer. This was my first time inside a "Tractor Supply" store, so I checked it out.

They offer many items geared towards a farming and agricultural community. There was a section for clothing and boots, feeds and supplies for animals, small and large, tractor supplies (I guess that why they call it "Tractor Supply"), garden supplies, agricultural toys, lawn equipment and supplies, and much much more. A section outside the store had fencing supplies, small tractors and attachments, etc.

I wandered around the store for about an hour taking in their inventory. The employees were friendly and offered their assistance if I needed it. Overall, it seemed like a nice store.

The store will have their "Grand Opening" on May 2nd. So, for those of you that have been waiting for it to open, now is your opportunity to check it out.

Have fun!
