It has just been brought to my attention by the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce that the Quakertown Food
Pantry is in desperate need of non perishable food donations. All donations can be dropped off at the Quakertown Food Pantry which is located at 515 S. West End Blvd (Rt 309), Quakertown PA 18951. Their business hours are Monday, Wednesday, & Friday fro 10am to 1pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 12pm. If you can not make those times, you can call them at 215.536.0240.
If you do not have the time to drop something off, but would still like to help, you can send them a check. Please make checks payable to Quakertown Food Pantry.
With the constant increase in gas prices, food prices and everything else, there is more of a need then ever for these associations. Please help if you can.
If you are thinking about buying or selling a home located within the Bucks County Real Estate market or neighboring counties, please give me a call or visit my website.

As many of you know, I am a Realtor who specializes in Bucks County Real Estate. I am affiliated with Long and Foster Real Estate and my office is located in Doylestown, PA. However I live in Quakertown, which is in the northwest part of Bucks County. Since I am in the business that will grow when my clients refer me to other people, I would like to recommend some of the local business that I have recently dealt with.
1. About a month ago, we had a pretty bad thunderstorm roll through Quakertown. Some in our town lost their electricity for 16 hours. We were luckier than that and only lost power for
about an hour. However with the high winds and soaking ground from previous rains, my next door neighbors 50 plus foot spruce tree that was planted in 1905 uprooted and fell on our house. We called Luxton Tree Service at 215-536-5382. Two of my neighbors and my mother in law had used them before. They came out on Sunday to survey the damage and within a couple days (they had to hire a crane which took a day or so) the tree was off the house and removed from our property. They did a fabulous job and I highly recommend them.
2. Al
though my husband can do alot of work on homes, when he is busy and we have a plumbing or heating emergency, we call Willie's. For heating issues, we dial 215-536-1407 and for plumbing it is 215-536-1307. They always come out immediately and do a fabulous job
3. Want a quick bite to eat, check out the Quakertown Family Restaurant(or QFR as the locals call it) it is located at 25 West End Blvd (Route 309). I have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and I have never had a bad meal.
4. Want to get in shape? Check out Snap Fitness 24-7. I have spoke of this one before, but have to stress that it is a great place. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. and the best thing is NO CONTRACTS. I have blogged about his one before. Read about it in by blog titled New Gym In Quakertown
This is only a few of the great local businesses around. Stay tuned for more recommendations in the future. And of course if you need a real estate agent, call or email me or one of my team members. Remember "WE SPECIALIZE IN YOU!"
