The
17th Annual Abegweit Pow-Wow took place from the Panmure Island Cultural Grounds in Panmure Island, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The Pow-Wow reunites Aboriginal peoples from across Canada. Jimmy Augustine from Elsipogtog, New Brunswick was the Master of Ceremonies for the great event.
A Pow-Wow is a rejoicing of life through a feast and dance to the "Heart Beat of Mother Earth" represented in the Sacred Drum. The drummers are the Stoney Bear Singers from Eskasoni, Nova Scotia. The Pow-Wow includes: traditional teachings, Aboriginal art, booths with great crafts, bingo, and tickets with a chance to win many monetary prizes.
The Pow-Wow ended on Sunday evening with the Mi'kmaq Feast that is open to the visiting public. Included on the menu was famous PEI lobster, mussels, salmon, strawberry cake dessert, tea, etc. The line ups were long but the wait was worth the very enjoyable meal, and fellowship with the Aboriginal people of Canada.
The Pow-Wow location in Panmure Island, PEI is great because the excellent sand beach is close by for enjoyable swimming and to cool off from the warm August weather in beautiful Prince Edward Island.
The Aboriginal people have a very rich culture and tradition; the Pow-Wow is a great expression of this culture and is a great way to educate the general public.

We don't think of wild life as a property enhancement; we think rather: "is it near water?" or "does it have curb appeal?", etc.
Recently I was taking some pictures of a beautiful Private 27 acre waterfront property in Murray Harbour, Prince Edward Island, Canada. I walked down the scenic back road toward the water, and saw a rabbit running across the road in front of me. It did something for my liking of the property. The rabbit or rabbits will add to the natural charm of the property for any of the future buyers, especially if they appreciate wildlife.
At the end of my picture taking, I noticed a Pheasant had landed in a group of trees. (The above picture was the result of that magnificent occurance.)
There you go, a property where the rabbits and pheasnts are thrown in for free to the future investor - can't beat that deal!

I was honoured lately to receive a gift from a client of mine who was looking to buy a PEI Real Estate property in Prince Edward Island, Canada. During email communications, I had mentioned to my client that Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson were coming to the Brudenell Golf Course in Brudenell, PEI near the scenic town of Montague. To my great surprise, this very considerate client said that she would courier two VIP tickets to attent the great golf tournament. The tickets arrived and my son and I attended the great event. The VIP tickets meant that we were treated like royalty - access to the golf club for free food and beveridges, and free parking right at the Brudenell Golf Course. My son and I had two days that we will never forget as long as we live. Thank you very much to my special real estate client.

A very well known Saw Mill in Murray River, Prince Edward Island, Canada, burned to the ground recently. The Saw Mill run by well liked PEI resident Gerry Moore was a valuable business to the many local residents. Mr Moore cut up the raw trees brought into his yard into all kinds of sized hardwood and softwood. He even sold the slabs or bark of the trees that many residents bought for firewood.
But the story is not totally negative. A benefit concert is being held for Mr Moore and contributions will go to building a new saw mill. It is highly likely that Mr Moore will have a lot of local help in with the project. This will not only be of great benefit to Mr Moore and his sons but will also benefit all of the many residents of Murray River and surrounding areas of PEI.
Murray River is a beautiful fishing community in southeastern PEI that would be well worth your while to visit.

Murray Harbour North is a very scenic part of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. There are wonderful waterfront properties that overlook the very picturesque 5 Murray Islands in the Murray Bay. This Murray Bay is only a short distance to the Northumberland Strait (Ocean) on the southeastern coast of Prince Edward Island.
At the end of Mink River Road is Clow's Wharf; this wharf is the home port for fishermen who fish lobster in the months of May and June. Fishermen from this wharf travel out around the Murray Islands, past the Beach Point wharf and lighthouse to the ocean where the many lobster grounds are found. Just around the bend from Clow's wharf is the rustic Cahoon's wharf where fishing boats have a home base and provides a great place for the local residents to jump into the water for a refreshing swim.
Many non-residents purchase properites in this Murray Harbour North area and enjoy the excellent boating that this area provides.
Murray Harbour North is very close to the towns of Murray River and Montague. Both of these towns are on the inland waterway and they have bridges that add to the beauty of the towns.
If you enjoy a marine based boating area, this is the place in PEI to acquire property.
