This past weekend was Shrimp Festival in Beaufort South Carolina. If you did not make it this year, it is held annually each October in Beaufort's Waterfront Park.

Shrimp Festival is one of my favorite events of the entire year! If you didn't make it this year, you should make your plans to attend next October.

On Saturday morning, October 4th, runners met at the starting line for a 5K run for the Beaufort South Carolina Shrimp Festival. Participating from RE/MAX Sea Island Realty is Gretchen Krapf of The Chris Skrip Team and some of her friends. We are very happy to say that Gretchen finished the race in good shape and with a smile on her face.

Our first RE/MAX Sea Island Realty Mix and Mingle was held Thursday evening the 2nd of October at the office from 5:00-7:30 (but, of course it ran longer). The event will be held the first Thursday of each month. It is our way to give back to our community businesses and past/future clients and supporters.

As if possible, I went from thirty to three in less than five seconds upon seeing the great possibilities that swirled about while walking through the Pumpkin Patch at one of our local churches.

Do I want a pumpkin family, a mischevious pumpkin gang, playful pumpkins, political pumpkins,

Oh the choices!

Then it occurred to me, I am THAT buyer. The one that gets so excited over the possibilities that knowing exactly what I want is completely impossible.

I needed, well I needed ME. I needed a Pumpkin agent to bring me back to reality.

Someone to educate me on pumpkin intricacies. How on earth I am expected to navigate this great sea of pumpkins with no guidance, direction, or voice of reason.

I don't want someone to take the joy away from my pumpkin selection, but it sure would be helpful to have a pumpkin pro give me a little advice.

So I thought of my clients who often act just like, yep, ME. It is my job to guide them, educate them, but never to take away their enthusiasm about the endless possibilities.

I guess the pumpkin farmer may grow accustom to the constant influx of beautiful pumpkins full of potential, and maybe can't relate to my over flowing excitement.

As Realtors, I hope we don't forget to enjoy, understand, and nurture the excitement of all our clients regardless of their price range and preference!!!

There is no question when it comes to history in Beaufort South Carolina.

Our soil has seen many solders and our waters, many pirates. Do we have ghosts? Of course we do.

They are just like everyone else who comes to Beaufort. They simply don't want to leave, if they do, they come back!
