Christmas in Hopelands 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM Hopelands Gardens, 135 Dupree Pl., Aiken. Enjoy this annual celebration of lights in Hopelands Gardens and the adjacent Rye Patch. A night-time journey thru these estates lights over 1 1/2 miles of pathways with over 100,000 lights. Free concerts on specified evenings and holiday music may be enjoyed throughout the gardens. Parking at the Goodwill Parking Lot on Whiskey Rd. w/a free shuttle from 5:30 to 9pm. No admission charged, but donations accepted. Farmers Market 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Holly Days at the Aiken County Farmers Market, 897 Richland Ave. E, Aiken. The Market will have locally made (from fresh greenery) wreaths, garland, decorations and centerpieces. Gift items from local artisans, gift baskets, dairy products, beef and a large selection of fall/winter vegetables - greens, collards, turnips, rutabagas, peanuts, pecans and sweet potatoes will be in season. Aiken Tour 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Departs from the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 126 Newberry St. SE, Aiken. Most small towns credit the railroad for their beginnings; that's true in part for Aiken. Find out the rest of the story on this tour. Take a look at Aiken's beginnings, its importance during the Civil War and how Aiken was shaped as the Original Winter Colony.
