We staged a house with an antique sofa--and nothing else--in the living room.

"What are we going to do with that?!"

We chose a neutral slipcover to give it an instant update. We used an outdoor chaise lounge cushion to make the back smooth and straight and some extra pillows to wrap and fill the arm cover. Turned out great! We added some throw pillows, wall art, accessories and some creative lighting to make a cozy living space.

The bay window in the room was also very outdated with lacy ruffled swags and window-covering vertical blinds; along with an antique lamp sitting in front. With just a few simple tricks we brought this room up-to-date. By opening those blinds, adding tab top panels and updated accessories we say good-bye to 1900 and hello 2009.

The home sellers thought the room was OK just the way it was. They were pleasantly surprised when we finished and loved the new look.

Hey all, Need some creative ways to attract lookers to Open Houses. In our area, the Realtors complain that their Open Houses are a big flop--with only a few people showing up. Please provide ways that you attract interest and just how you advertise for your Open Houses. I would love to do Open House Staging in my area--but for now, the Realtors are not interested.
