The Addison Airport in Addison, Texas is home to one of the busiest single-runway general aviation airports in the region and is now the third largest general aviation airport in the country. With a runway of 7,200 feet and 750+ based aircraft, the airport averages 366 operations per day. There is also considerable commerical activity, including several hangar/office complexes.
The airport is also home to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.
Just west of Addison Road, at the eastern gateway to the big, blue Arapaho Bridge, there is a half-mile trail featuring three large mounds that are perfect for viewing airplanes landing or taking off from Addison Airport.

Addison Airport (ADS) is located in a noise-sensitive area surrounded by residential communities. There is a "Fly Friendly Over Addison" program, developed to further reduce noise levels in the vicinity of the airport. The program solicits airport user involvement in reaching and maintaining these community goals.
Addison Airport has a variety of aircraft storage options available for the aeronautical enthusiast, commercial operator, business executive and corporate flight departments. Facilities range from single aircraft storage facilities (T-hangars, patio hangars and tie-downs) to conventional commercial facilities to ground-lease development opportunities.

This area is south of Trinity Mills and west of Addison Road, within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The following streets are in the subdivision (west to east): Westgrove, Knots Landing, Planters Row, Upper Bay, Vinland, and Windward - note that with the exception of Westgrove, they are in alphabetical order.
