Lots happening in Bastrop these days! New apartment complex going up!

Deb Dahlberg Rowland: Real Estate Agent in Bastrop, TX

There is a lot of activity in Bastrop these days.

Not only did we get a new RSC location but work has started on the new Burleson Crossing and a new apartment complex - Walnut Creek.

The contractor is still in the dirt moving stage of the new apartment complex but they are moving right along. It has been a bit muddy these last few days with the much needed rain we have gotten.

Will keep you "posted" on how construction is proceeding.Walnut Ridge Construction signWalnut Ridge construction site

7/13/2008 Edit note: I received an email from a Hunters Crossing resident and she asked that I share this information. "Deb I noticed you have info on Hunters Crossing that is not correct. The swimming pool is the only thing that is private for the residents and we pay 250.00 per year. All of the grounds, parks, play areas walking paths etc are public. We also have a PID that costs each owner a bundle every year $250. this year but will climb to $600. in the future, so hopefully you will disclose this stuff to any buyer. Unfortunately when we bought we were never told about any of this stuff. It was a shock to find out after the sale. Carolyn

Carolyn - Thanks for sharing this info. It is a very important point to share with other potential Buyers. . Normally in a real estate transaction where there are mandatory home owners associations dues involved, an addendum specifically addressing the HOA is used along with the purchase contract which allows the Buyer to review the HOA materials during the contractual period. Also, coventants, conditions and restrictions are covered in the preliminary title commitment under Schedule B items and should be reviewed in detail. The PID charges must have been an unwelcome suprise, and you are right it should have been disclosed, or your Buyers Agent should have helped you discover it during your due diligence! I am so sorry this happened to you! Thanks for contacting me. Deb
